How the FRECKLE do you get this shit off? I have a beautiful bag of these (hawaii strain) and I haven't touched them in a month because I can't get the fuzz off and it makes me vomit violently for 12 hours. I've tried boiling the seeds, which just makes it come apart, and I've tried peeling it like a potato with a razor sharp hunting knife, but the fuzz is not at all like a skin or shell and more like a thick carpet that has been superglued to the seed, like the roots of the fuzz goes deep into the seed. I just can't get it off!

Logistic help please.

first off: boiling the seeds is almost guarenteed to destroy the valuble LSA.

as for the fuzz, use a nail file.

however, there is a difference between the fuzz and the actual husk, which seperates easily and is not on all ordered seeds (esp. the non-hawaiin)

Nail file doesn't even scratch the fuzz.

edit: OK it does work if I apply great pressure, but it's extremely slow and because the seeds are very irregular in shape many grooves and hollows filled with fuzz are unreachable.

edit2: Nail filing takes about 40 minutes per seed and results in fingers so sore I won't do more than one seed every few hours. There's go to be a better way . . .

I must try SANDPAPER!

Ok, with the combination of nail file, sandpaper, and xacto knife I managed to get one seed almost 100% clear of any dark brown fuzz. It's a hollow victory because of how much time and physical effort it takes though.

Are you sure it's the fuzz and not the husk? A simple lemon juice extraction leaves me with only the good stuff and very little bad stuff, fuzz or no fuzz, but there could be other things involved though...

So lemon juice + HWBR = no nausea? What do you do, let it soak, pour it through a coffee filter, and drink the lemon juice?

use a coffee grinder and extract... much easier

^yeah
the fuzz is lmost impossible to get completly off. You just need to get off the husk, crush it up, and then do the extract

Will do. Thanks guys! I'll do an extract with around 10 seeds and write a trip report one of these days.
