main difference between the two

what would you say is the MAIN difference between acid and shrooms, im just curious to what some of you have to say...

when on either, you would probably not be in a word mode and thus not be able to construct a way of describing your experience enough to accurately distinguish the two in heinsight

The main difference for me other than duration, is that with acid the visuals and sound are sparkly and very high frequency, everything becomes brighter and I dont get nauseas. With mushrooms, I get very sick when the trips turns death mode, the visuals and sound are more choppy and I feel dizzy, and the smells and touch senses are sloppy and overwhelming.
Other than that, like Bill said, it's in the moment and Im not good enough with words to share the differences.

To not be completely spamming here I'd say mushrooms may provide some nausea, the fact of having to eat the shit, and definitely a shorter trip duration.. which can either be a plus or minus depending on how the trips going.

I realize that this was a quip, so I won't take you to task for asking, but just in case it's unclear, in the car metaphor, the car represents your mind or the experience (think road trip) and where you're seated in the car represents how much control you have over it. I don't know much about mescaline, but with say, MDMA, you may be rolling around in the backseat while it's parked in your driveway with the radio on.

shrooms give me more of a "drunk" feeling than acid. like dizzy and hard to walk kinda. also i continue to smell and taste the shrooms throughout the trip. shrooms are more likely to make me nauseas.

and the visuals are different but i can't really explain it.

I've only done both twice, but to me the biggest difference in that shrooms have a sedative effect. Acid has the opposite. I prefer the shroom-ative, but I could see the acid-ulant being great in the right circumstances.

i like this post. its true shrooms just make me wanna sit there and melt as well. i personally enjoy shrooms. another main difference for me is that it is a lot easier to go back to base line after a shroom trip, as acid often leaves me with my head in the clouds a lot longer. some people like this.

i love both but ive done more shrooms than i have acid, havent done shrooms in a year and a half. kind of over did it in the past. ive never puked on shrooms though in my 50 some odd trips, but i've puked on acid twice in around 20 trips.

acid gives you clear headed energy. gives a facination to all things, like your a baby or a kid discovering the world again. acid tunes you into reality

on shrooms you couldnt sit there on a dose and look around the room in a state of claritty and notice all the intricate kelidiscopes and watch the walls breath and talk to your friend or partner. on shrooms your mind is trippin in a very foggy way like your on drugs. and you feel extremely tired like you have to drag your body around. crawl on the floor kinda thing.

on lsd me and my friends can just run around the play ground throwign sticks at each other having the time of our lives like we are kids again. just laughing and having so much fun.

ofcourse you increase the dosage and things change a bit i guess.

lsd is like you havent even taken a drug but are having all these things happen to you while you can still think.

acid gives you way more meaingfull life changing realisations. into the way everything works in this crazy universe we live in.

like taking ritalin compared to crystal meth. funny comparison.

whereas acid leaves your mind in pristine clarity, and the realisations dont stop when the trip wears off.

ok so lsd is clear, and stimulative, and supposedly unatural and shrooms are more natural, foggy, and sedative, kinda like marijuana.... I get that... I just havent had a good acid trip yet, which I NEED so badly lol damn i want lsd so badly. Is there anything else anyone else wants to add to this?????

ps. I just want to say that mushrooms for me were very unpredictable and different every five minutes, i would want to go dance and do stuff and then i would just forget about everything and melt away and want to drift off... maybe it was just my first time and i was overwhelmed with the feeling and didnt know what to think.. i dont know. but there where times i felt drunk and high, but just wanted to dance..and for the most part (i know someone said this about acid, but i felt like i had to do something the whole time, like i was meant for something, but maybe that was just the powerful emotional effects acting on me, maybe acid is even more so) I cant fucking wait to drop acid! its gonna be bomb.
