breaking pills in half

does this actually increase the high or make it kick in faster? because sometimes when i have a little headache if i take a tylrnol or an advil, i'll break the pill in half anfd it seems to kick in faster, but maybe its just a placebo effect

it takes less time for it to break down so it will kick in faster. that's why people parachute pills.
