well, I know that oven cleaner does a great job at destroying greasy buildup in ovens, but I was wondering if I could employ it in cleaning my bong. The active ingredient in it is lye, so hopefully it will make short work of my resinous buildup. (also crossing my fingers that it will take care of my lime deposits. I'll be cleaning my bong later today, so I'll tell you how it goes :cheers2:
BTW it says that it is safe for glassware

not sure.... it'll probably be fine but I wouldn't risk it if I payed alot for it.

Just make sure you rinse the bong well after cleaning it.

thats no good... can burn your skin. you could have a accident and spray it in your eyes..
Alcohol or a automotive parts cleaner TCE. that has high evaporation.. Something thats safe on plastic. if your bong is plastic. TCe isnt safe on some plastic. But it will cut grease and grime like a GOD<.. use in a open air, not in side a room..
Aviod toxic shit if you can for cleaning... hot water and dawn dishwashing liquid.. be suprised.. cuts grease...

Yep. Bike chain lube has worked very well for me in the past ...cleaning scissors after bud manicuring sessions.
