I have been smoking for about a year, but have never smoked from a bong before and will be doing so soon. Any etiquette or tips you all can give me?

Yea, i actually used the search bar to see how it would work and it really didnt help much... but if you dig deep in the forums search you can find your answers. Just dont spill the water. I had a friend who recently started smoking, and he got it all over his pants. smells terrible and is just plain disgusting.

whatever you do, do NOT blow out when your mouth is on the bong. this means coughing or laughing. dont put your lips around the mouth piece, put it inside, and do not drool or get the mouth piece wet. thats about it.

Probably was a smaller bong filled a little too high and he just inhaled as fast and hard as possible.

The most important thing would be not to break the other kids bong actually. You can always load up another bowl, but not if you don't have one to load your weed in. Plus bongs can get pretty expensive depending on what kind of bong the OP will be smoking.

yea thats definantly the most important thing, i was just assuming the OP isn't completly retarted and knows that dropping and smashing a bong would be a very very bad thing haha.

if your hands are wet don't try to pick up the bong, it might slip. make sure your hands are dry. i've seen a bong get smashed because someone had just gone to the bathroom and washed his hands off, and tried to take a hit but the bong slipped right out of his hands.

Also if it is GonG make sure to just pull out the bowl, and not the diffuser/downtube with it. A lot of the time people push the bowl down into the diffuser/downtube too hard and that makes it so the connection where the diffuser/downtube enters the bong becomes the place of least resistance and ends up coming out. If you pull the diffusuer/downtube out like that and you pull it fast enough, you run the risk of the diffuser/downtube falling off the bowl and breaking.

EDIT: You can by keck clips to make sure the diffuser/downtube doesn't get pulled out.

once I filled up the bong with too much water and the water came out the conepeice and soaked the bud that was in it.

Anyhow, eventualy you will spill bong water. its inevitable.
