Stimulants/Depressants vs the psychedelic effect

Alright this was a general observation I made some time ago. I've been pretty drunk on acid, and taken percs near the end of a trip. I've also chugged energy drinks on it. Now I've never actually put this to the test but in general it seems depressants nullify the psychedelic(by this I mean the visual aspects) of the trip somewhat. On the flip side I've noticed if I start to drink alot of caffeine when coming down, it seems to pump a bit more life into it for a bit. Now I have friends who have blown OCs and shot dope on it and they'll agree with how they seriously nullify the trip.

But does anyone share the same theory, and has anyone done any kind of stimulant stronger then caffeine on acid.(Kudos to you if you have, because we've thought about it many times with speed, but it just seemed the feeling the 2 would create would be way too uncomfortable)

i have rolled on acid and it was a pretty badass stimulant

but i heard depressants kinda cancel out the effect of the trip

my friends took mescaline and thought it was acid, so after waiting 2 hours they thought it was bunk shit and got drunk, then the next hour the mescaline completely took over their drunk state and they said they did not even feel drunk anymore whenever the mescaline took effect
