It's a hell of a lot of fun IMHO. But, I have never done shrooms or LSD so I can't give you a comparison.

Its like the opposite of acid, acid takes you more into the world and DXM takes you away from the world its very wild and some people cant handle it, they freak out. It seems like its 50-50 if you will love it or hate it. Most of the people that i know who tried it loved it.

Its hard for me to compare to anything, but I have found it quite enjoyable.
The only down side (IMO) is the price - for me 1 bottle of gels = 1 trip = $4 - $8.
I have been wanting to get some DMX and do it agian - it has been a few months.

With weed at least a 1/4 can last me weeks (i never smoke more then .5g and usually only about .2g.)

I was on the Dextroverse IRC one night asking people the similarities between DXM and K, and one experienced user said "K is the rollercoaster, but DXM is the whole amusement park", and apparently preferred DXM to K.

I can't say what a huge dose of DXM is like because I've only stayed on the 1st plateau while with Ketamine, I had a 100mg dose. But 1st plateau DXM feels exactly like coming down from Ketamine...I even had the same side effects except nausea.

Yeah they're both dissociatives. You can't look at it by what they're indicted for. One's a synthetic opiate, the other is more closely related to PCP. They're really not even chemically similar, which is weird because the effects are quite similar.

No, it isn't. Sometimes people get confused because DXM's stereoisomer (basically, the mirror image molecule), called levomethorphan, is an opiate. In two dimensions the molecules look identical, but in three dimensions, they are mirror images of each other. I would think this would be obvious to anyone who has tried both classes of drugs - opiates make you feel pleasant and don't really cause any "trip" or much of a disconnect. They basically just release the chemicals that tell your brain that you are happy. DXM will cut you off from your body and has no intrinsic pleasurable property (the pleasure is derived from the psychological experience, if you even find this one pleasurable).

I'd recommend staying away from DXM. I loved it my first time, as most probably will, but it went downhill with each use after that, ending with me waking up on the floor of the hallway of my dorm building without knowing why I was there, walking to the bathroom and sitting on a toilet, shitting my guts out and feeling my limbs go cold and thinking I was going to die for about an hour. I had only taken 20 robitussin caplets, which isn't ALL that big of a dose for tripping. Please just stay away from this drug. I still feel like I've had a permanant loss of intelligence from it and its been years since I took it. Mushrooms and LSD did not have the same permanent dumbing effect as this trash. Just get some real psychedelics.

Last friday I bought three 4oz bottles and gulped each one in under a minute. I just plugged my nose and sucked 'em down in a few gulps each. I ended up sitting down and feeling extremely "drunk" and then I threw up about 45 minutes after taking the bottles. That was my first time trying to actually drink the tussin. I've done it twice before that using the Delsym extraction. I ended up tripping still for a while with some nice visuals. I wanna try it again sometime soon, maybe with gelcaps or just one 4oz bottle.

the first trip on DXM is always overly intense in most all people. kind of weird because the first trip on LSD isn't usually noticeable by most people unless they do alot.

oh and i only get slurring of words on 3rd plat doses, i am fine to be in front of whoever on 1st or 2nd plat doses.

I dont need much of this drug but it gives me like some awesome clairty but it needs to be maintained at a certain level.. I get these cold pills they are in a med pack industral/hospital two per each pack.. Id have to get up and look but the bitches are good just taking half and then the other a few hours later and so on.. But it cant be taken all the time, as it is a cold pill. I usually take it I feel my chest or throat scratch which happens as it gets cold and I run around alot... It has a speed effect.. but there is noticable visual changes. some vividness and bouncing vision and squigglies.. Change in taste, I do get really fuxking hungry after taking these though and I want to eat and eat?
I prolly only take like 4 pills over a period of a few days.. so Idk..
over did em a long time ago and didnt geta any super trip// but did have better visuals. still made me speed though..
