Is there any easy way to separate DXM from Guaifenisin?

google agent lemon, im pretty sure it says you can use a kind with guaifenisin in it, just not anything with anything else.

Agent Lemon *supposedly* does it. But ever AL extraction I've made has caused me to vomit fiercely before the heavy trip.

well there you go then. maybe agent lemon takes the guaifenesin out, maybe it dont. i know its safe to ingest so thats probably why they said its ok to use the agent lemon extraction with it. i've never took the time to do the agent lemon exctraction, is it worht it geneity?

Yeah, if you're willing to be nauseous as fuck for 30-40 minutes until you puke. The trips are fun and quite strong. Much better than eating pills or drinking Robitussin.

This is a waste of time, why bother extracting when you can just buy a bottle without the Guaifenisin for like 5 dollars..

The only reason im interested is because all I have at the moment contains guaifenisin, but I hate nausea, so fuck it. Thanks for all the help, though!

Well... separating the guaifenisin is doable if you have access to ether... DXM Hbr is insoluble in ether while the guaifenisin is soluble in it.

An A/B extraction is *suppose to get rid of the quaifensisin... I already know of the agent lemon extraction, but there is also a relatively easy extraction using lye, hcl acid, distilled water and ziplock bags.

Some people report drinking entire bottles of guaifenisin + dxm containing products with little to no discomfort... personally, you could never get me to try that!

oh fuck me,

1.add 200ml syrup in jar.

2. add 220ml water in jar not that jar.

3. add dissolve 5g sodium hydroxide to the jar in step 2?

4. now add step 3 to step 1,"syrup jar" now you got it in the syrup add 5g more
of sodium hydroxide to the jar from step 1 dissolve ,

(update? now you got only 1jar cos you did add the "water 220ml
hydroxid mix, to the syup. and yes in total 10g hydroxide.

5. add 60ml zippo lighter gas, don't need to be zippo? and shake! 5min
.................................................. ............................................
6. stop shaking and let the gas come to top, remove the gas and evaporate
low temp or room temp...;)

i would recommend you dont smoke DXM powder like stated in that extraction method as when dxm is burnt it just gives of toxic chemicals and fucks up your lungs etc also you probably wont get high from it

Thanks for the help guys. Don't worry, I wouldn't even consider smoking DXM, that is crazy. Good thing there are so many active members here or a visitor would actually try it thinking all of us "experienced" people have done it lol. Keep up the good work! It's sites like this that really help people make decisions about drugs, not fuckin' above the influence.

and erowid says that dxo freebase is smokable, but not dxm freebase.

The sodium hydroxide will drop the methyl group causing the dxm to become DXO? I know cos i know not cos i look itup on eoiwd
Thats why i said 10g sodium hydroxide and not only 5g,

well then you should know that you arnet smoking dxm then. simple as that. dxm is not smokeable, dxo is. you shouldve stated earlier that you knew you werent smoking dxm, but dxo, and you woulnt have come off looking stupid.

so how is smoking dxo? what does it feel like?

Well it was ok i only had 150mg, on a foil spoon smoke?
and for me it was much better than the dxm,
it was kinda like taking 300mg of DXM but with a awesome body tingling
a tingling that i never go with just dxm.

Well befor i posted the extraction i never new that dxm was bad to smoke
so to prevent any unreacted dxm being left in the final product it would be
best to let the reduction go for 1 or 2 days..keep it mixing in a blender?.
so i edit that method now.
