NO NUKES AT LAKENHEATH!
NO WEAPONS IN SPACE!
Join the protest at the base
Sunday 3rd October from 12 noon
Assemble opposite entrance to Lord's Walk on the A1065
(Signposted Gate 2)
A new and authoritative estimate puts the number of nuclear bombs at U.S.A.F. Lakenheath at 110. These bombs are deployed under NATO's First Use policy, and are also a constant source of danger as a result of accidents or hostile attack. And still the U.S. refuses "to confirm or deny" their presence.
Lakenheath's sister base, U.S.A.F. Feltwell, just down the road, is a deep- and near-space surveillance station linked to the Missile Defence sites at Menwith Hill and Fylingdales in Yorkshire. Our demonstration is also in support of the international Keep Space for Peace Week, which ends on 3rd October.
There will be music and a new Theatre of War performance.
Refreshments available
We must keep up the pressure against weapons of mass destruction here in Britain!
