Psychedelic and Doom (read: "stoner") metal are getting so big among the "indie" crowd in the US. It also seems like a lot of major bands are churning out psychedelia (Radiohead's In Colours and Animal Collective's Strawberry Jam come to mind). LSD also seems to be getting more pure and of higher dose. I don't want to jinx it, but maybe there's a revolution on its way.

2012, man. 2012.

We are part of the same society we detest, that is the cruel joke.

well i hope to god theres revolution soon but its flat out retarded to just say it will happen 2012. a revolution will come the people finally say enough and stand up for their rights, not when an ancient calendar ends.

Encourage others to question each and every system and habit, including the ones that seem as firmly real as gravity [although i'm mainly referring to societal systems/habits of every sort]; for me this leads to both greater self-awareness and greater external awareness [these two seem to sometimes overlap so greatly that they seem as one], and, hopefully, this will help us all eventually deduce what is right and just, and what needs to be done! whew... :)

If you would like the world to change, you must lead by example in to what you want that world to be changed to!

a revolution can come in many forms. there is no doubt that modern day society is fundamentally flawed. economic calamity, increased awareness and most importantly, like Shapeshifter said, people leading by example, are things that could contribute to changing our society.

I don't know about the whole 2012 craze, but it definitely feels like massive change is coming. I am optimistic to the future of our world.

I think this is a great article that includes the doom but leaves you optimistic in the end. It seems like the end of 2012 will be very significant, and depending on who you are you can see it as either very bad or very good. I think we all need to become more self-sufficient and get used to the idea of a nomadic life.

the only way an effective revolution will occur is if we could get the majority of people in this country or the world to take the full trip of LSD. If everyone had that infinitely deep understanding, we wouldn't need a government. So basically, turn on as many people as you can - I dont mean sell as many doses as possible, I mean get as many people as possible to get the full experience. Then hopefully, the people you turn on will spread the enlightenment in the same way, and more people will know. Also, if we want to still have modern comforts and conveniences and a steady supply of resources, we will have to secretly organize and have a cooperative system planned out and ready to implement for that purpose when the day comes that enough people understand and the revolution can begin

Start small and each person on this forum changes one little thing about society in the area they live spread your opinion, act upon it and you will infulence and a affect people in your life and others around the world. Start small and then it will crawl over earth like a fucking disease. It won't be easy, there are going to be problems and vaccinations and shit from the government and media, but you need to stand strong for what you think and recruit.

lmfao I'm laughing so hard at what I just said, I dont know but whatever do something everybody if you want change, don't just say yo we are fucked man so messed up. DO something small.
Please and Thanks.

For example when I'm with my friends I use cars a little as possible to stop feeding the war in the Middle East, I don't buy things that have tons of garbage and plastic waste on them. Also I'm studying philosophy, sociology, anthropology and psychology so I can get a job where it's not so much in making money and competing against other people and getting stressed out, focusing more sharing knowledge working together as one. I don't buy brand name clothes and try to stop my friends from watching reality tv shows and watching movie stars and singers that create stereotypes of what you should look like. I am not saying everyone does these things just some people in my life do and i used to and im trying to bring change. I go on jogs practicing cross-country long distance running though the woods in my town and I encourage my friends to come out and appreciate nature and bring awareness. I also geocache http://www.geocaching.com/ it is fun and brings people outside and i hide them at special places that i like in nature

unless u were on acid when u wrote this meaningless little diatribe, it has no place in the LSD forum. I doubt you were because your message lacks creativity or depth, and just points out the obvious.

Adam.

Well Evil, I don't see you coming up with anything, who are you to come in here and basically tell me I am an idiot, your already starting off on a bad start why are you so negative. re pointing out the obvious, if it lacks detail creativity and depth then why not add to what I wrote and correct me and make it more creative and share your thoughts.
and I don't know why you are so picky and critical about where I write things, I'm talking about the revolution with the use of LSD and discussing what changes should happen and pointing out just some examples. Brighten up evil, why do you think so negative. I am open to critisim but you lack creativity, in your post and did not explain or help.

ok. you're speaking on every topical subject but LSD. How in the hell is not using your car going to hinder the war in iraq. the 2 are unrelated. You have good intentions i can see, but focus your energies in the right direction. boycott exxonmobil, organize a peaceful protest against the war and the beijing olympics (bring up myanmar. most people have no idea about the tragedies facing that place) in front of your local tv station, put up signs, put your worthless paper money into silver, do get out and enjoy life. When people see you doing well and having a good time they will want to know what's up. If you know what's up you can teach them. one person can reach at least ten people.

LSD is not gonna save the world, as much as we may love it. It does help to open peoples' eyes (as it has mine) but it's only one path that can be taken, and honestly, I can't say it's the best one. A lot of people can't handle the kind of information overload that comes with breaking your ego all at once. This is why people freak out, they get all the keys at once and don't know which doors they go to. They run around and scream and throw the keys and some never get it.

Others get it, but deny it. I think this may even drive some people away from learning about spirituality later, although it's just my theory. They chalk it up to a drug experience. It also can't hold any real answers. There's no way that LSD is going to make you think of something you couldn't have while sober. It's just a chemical. It can, however, give us a different viewpoint (or a few different viewpoints) on the way we see things.

Drumming, dancing, chanting, meditation and all kinds of things can get you to the same end point, but they give you time to figure things out as you go. I'd say that meditation is the best, as far as I can tell.
