hello my name is jolom. i'm new here at the hip forums and i just thought i would introduce myself. wednesday was my birthday and friday i got fired from my job thanks to the actions of the person i worked for...and since i love them very much i'm trying not to be mad at them and show it. but this is hard for me because i'm a little depressed now...and a little uncertain. now that school's over..and i have no job...it looks like this summer is going to be a very lonely one. if there's anyone who just wants to maybe talk and get to know a new guy like me i think that'd be really awesome. so pm me if you'd like. it's nice to meet all of you! : )

I really like the photo.
(snip) thanks to the actions of the person i worked for
Something I have learned recently is that everything that happens in our lives, we create. In this case, for example, although it was not you who performed the actions of the person you speak of, yet it *was* you who
either 1) wanted to quit anyway (ask yourself this when you are feeling peaceful with yourself)
or 2) have a greater purpose in getting fired, that your ego just either can't or doesn't want to accept at this time.
Just remember, the universe will work for you if you let it!
Love,
gaia
...and since i love them very much i'm trying not to be mad at them
Oh, yeah, it's ok to be mad. It's just not ok to be violent. It's okay to tell someone what is bothering you, peacefully.
and show it. but this is hard for me because i'm a little depressed now
This may be helpful -- I have read that depression is anger turned towards one'self. I'm not sure if I go along with that description -- I think it may be more accurate to say, that anger is the feeling we get when someone we love is either just plain mean, or when they fall short of what we feel is their ideal self.
...and a little uncertain. now that school's over..and i have no job...it looks like this summer is going to be a very lonely one.
One of the most memorable things that ever happened to me was when I hitched a ride out of the first Colorado gathering. On that bus was a deadhead (someone who had absolutely no money or driving skills) who
would say to people when they were down:
"STAY IN THE LIGHT!http://www.hipforums.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif
That has stayed with me through the years, although it was "just words".
And it has proven to be Very Good Advicehttp://www.hipforums.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif
I posted this publicly because after a while one realizes that we're all in it together anyway.
Lovin' you,
gaia
