Is DXM worth trying?

I've been interested in trying it for a while, but I don't know if it'd be worth it. My only other experience with OTC highs has been with benedryl, and while it worked, I felt so horrible the next day that I decided it wasn't worth doing again. But I think DXM will offer a better experience than diphenhydramine did. So, does DXM really have anything to offer, or is it just something kids do to get 'fucked up'? Can it at all compare to ketamine (which is currently my new 'goal': to track down and try ketamine).

While im not going to recommend you go out and try DXM i recently had the interest and went out and tried it i enjoyed it and had some good realizations about my life. Some advice if you are going to do DXM is make sure your geting a cough syrup with no other ingredients in it also do your research as much as possible before you do try it and dont over do it on your first try. As it is a Dissociative like ketamine some of the effects can be similar, difficulty with motor functions, a feeling of leaving your body and so on. Dont do this by your self make sure there is somebody around so if something does go wrong they can help you. A good site for getting information on the effects & doesage of DXM would be a place like erowid. Just remember to be safe and do your research if you do decide to take it :)

IDK, some people I know love DXM and say they get great visuals. When I tried I was all sloshy and had quadruple vision.

According to erowid, DXM in high doses is like ketamine. I would definetly give it a try though its a nice time while it lasts.

Almost everything is worth trying, and I think DXM is no exception (given the fact there is virtually no risk in trying it unless you're allergic). I'm on 600mg right now, just waiting for it to kick in.

Yea, it is quite worth it as long as you follows these :

-Limit yourself to using once or twice a month every 2-3 months or else you might go through some serious braindamage.

-Don't have anything to do with the next 24 hours.

-Don't be around people who might bother or pick on you while on dxm, including peers and family members who do not approve of DXM.

-Stay indoors no matter what.

-Use erowid for approximate dosages.

-Have a trip sitter.

A trip sitter is not necessary, dxm doesn't make you do anything stupid, and you are able to function enough to perform the basics (bathroom, eating/drinking, etc)

It would be very so pleasant being outside while on dxm(any other psychoactive), that's if you're away from people and law enforcement, ofcourse.

i have tripped on DXM my fair share of times, and i think a sitter is valuable for your first time.
i have had crazy experiences in forgetting who i am, it is very scary and someone there with you can really help.

it comes in gel caps and syrup, I would either recommend delsym syrup or the robotussin gel caps WITH NOTHING ELSE IN THEM. I dunno if a sitter is really necessary, I don't know why you would recommmend staying indoors. swim took 500 mg's and swim think if i hadn't gone outside and cooled off swim would've exploded. dxm is the only drug thats made swim feel physically overheated.

I would recommend dxm like I would recommend ecstasy, a couple times per a year, it can become addicting for some people, and being dissociated from the rest of the world all the time wouldn't be fun.

I did the gel caps once, but it sucked to do it that way, and they stopped selling the robo extra strength shit all around here, it seems tainted now.

Oh and swinging while on dxm can be dangerous, HOLD ON.
