First Outdoor Grow (just need some tips)

This is my first outdoor grow without a friend (last year buddy harvested the plants a month early becuase he is a feind for weed) so i decided to do it on my own this year i googled alot of info i just want some tips from you guys.

uhhh , how long they should be in sun light, if there supposed to be on the sunny side of a christmas tree, etc, just give me some real good growing tips how to get them talll, or short an bushy, how to get 4 tops on the plant instead of 1. etc, just give me the best tips to grow outdoors, and what kind of fertlizers i should use an when to give them fertillzers, an im pretty sure ur supposed to water them every 3 days?
