I wasnt there, but from all Ive seen & read >Monterey Pop Festival '67 has to be in the top 3.

I wasnt at Woodstock either but -post Woodstock- I was at Watkins Glen Raceway outside of Watkins Glen, New York on July 28, 1973, to see The Allman Brothers Band, The Band, and the Grateful Dead- - Man thinking of that scene still gives me much smiles ! :party:

I think Monterey was definitly the best hippie fest of all time, woodstock is a very close second. For bands, the best "hippie" band back then was grateful dead, no close second on that one. I don't even really consider the doors a hippie band, although they are very psychedelic.
