my brother just broke his leg bad, what meds do you think he'll get?

He's been in the hospital 2 days, and they're letting him out today. And they told me he's getting prescribed painkillers. What are the chances of him getting oxycodone? lol Im really hoping he does.

and no im not a bad brother, he broke his leg because he's an idiot and i warned him not to act like spiderman climbing balconies while he's high, drunk and barred the fuck out.

No WAY will his brother get oxycontin for a broken leg. Oxycontin are prescribed strictly for chronic pain and at times post operative pain for major surgery.

to the OP: your brother can probably expect to get either 5/500 percocet or possibly 7.5/500 percocet. however, if he's never had any injuries or surgeries, he can probably only expect 10/500 or 10/325 hydrocodones (brand name norco)

here's what he should do to maximize his injury for the positive:

let the doctors prescribe hydrocodone medication (like vicodin/norco)
after a day or two go by, have him call the doctor and tell them two things
1. the hydrocodone is making me sick to my stomach
2. the hydrocodone isn't making my pain go away completely

then the doctor will almost certainly give you some percocet or other oxycodone based medication and that way you get BOTH the earlier prescription for hydrocodone AND the later prescription of oxycodone.

Don't take your brothers fucking meds. Wait until he's used what he needs and if theres some that he doesn't need or does'nt finish taking all of them then...I broke my leg bad and was in the hospital a week, it really hurts and he's going to need them.

he may get something good. A female friend of mine messed up her little toe and needed a few stiches to close it. She was in no real pain but they gave her a Vikodin perscription which she promptly shared.

but your brother needs it ALOT more then you remember.

Tramadol is ok about 1/10 the strength of OXY, but take it from me when you take like 10 you will puke.

Point is Tramadol is pretty useless for recreation. High doses can induce seizures and severe nausea and vomiting. 1/10th as potent as morphine means it'll take a good amount to feel anything. Some pills have APAP as well as the Tramadol. If that's the case then forget it.

anyways, he gave me 4 2mg pills, he still has like 40 left. Im thinking of poppin three and then after a couple f hours pop the last one.

It depends on how liberal, or conservative the doctor is. I had my stomach cut open for surgery
(For a very painful operation), and got sent home from a week long hospital stay with #30 Tylenol 3's. I was pissed. #30 Tylenol 3's after somebody has made 6 incisions in your guy is awful. Infact, the second the surery was done, no more morphine drip, no more Hydrocodone tablets, I went from the operating table, straight to my #30 Tylenol 3's. I couldn't friggan believe it. I suffered for weeks, and he wouldn't write anything stronger for pain. Everytime I sneezed I cried(and I'm a Grown 6"4 240lbs man)The sneezing put pressure on the incisions, and I got a measly, weak script. It's not like I was or would ever Dr shop, but this guy had NO mercy on me. Probably because he was a Muslim.

I got 35 perk 5s for a minor surgery. Took like 2 minutes and all I had was a cyst cut out.....was so easy. Hurt like a bitch at the time, but still got 35 perks. Fuck tramadol dude...that shit is weak. Cant believe he didnt give you perks/lortab. Shit is beat.
