Actually, its extremely rare for opiate withdrawal to kill. It can only kill if the person has some other underlying physical condition that the withdrawal sends over the edge, but that said, it is almost impossible. I think you might be thinking of alcohol or benzo (xanax, valium) withdrawal, those can easily result in seizures and/or death. Opiate withdrawal results in flu-like symptoms....achiness, chills, restlessness, anxiety, depression, ranging in severity with how dependent one was.

When swim used to do Opiates, swim did alot of oxy for weeks straight at a time and, dont get me wrong withdrawals arent fun, but truly werent that bad. The chills were a major symptom, achiness (but not severe), and just a major feeling of blah and lack of motivation. Some restlessness and trouble sleeping for maybe 2 nights. That's really it. swim remember having some bad flu's when swim was a kid, and swim would take withdrawal over the flu any day, really. Now, if youre shooting up heroin all day or doing massive amounts of oxy for a long time, I'm sure sure it can be ALOT worse.

That said, the original poster of this thread who is shooting up Heroin SHOULD STOP. You will ruin your life.

TooCrisp-Thats a minor opiate withdrawl what most users call a chip on your shoulder nothing to bad its like having a cold for a day or two. Thats what fooled the shit out of me at first. The first few times I got sick from sniffing Herion and oc's I was like I can handle this what are people talking about its not so bad at all its like a cold for a few days. Well how wrong I was becasue I keep doing it and the withdrawls keep getting worse and worse until one day when I was real bad shooting Herion and OC's and I tried to stop using and that was the first time I was really dope sick and went threw horrible withdrawls I mean it was hell and sucks major balls. Fuck a cold it was like having a real bad flu with toins of anxiety but 1000 times worse, You can't sleep you can't stay awake, you feel like you are going to jump put of your skin, your mussles hurt and spasm so bad that you can't sit still and have to move,Its a shiity feeling one of the worst feelings I ever felt in my life and hope to never ever feel again.

I have no interest in H or with entrusting myself with fuckin with my own veins. but what percentage of H users get really fucked up, like bonafide addicts, can't do anything but get high, only options are to keep using or be sick for a few months. I know of one guy on here that uses responsibly, but only after personal experience with the extremes.

i'm just wondering because it seems people can't even maintain themselves with a softer drug like e. it seems like its either none at all or reckless binge, which seems so unnecessary to me. so I think its not the nature of the drug, but rather the insecurity of the person and something they are escaping regularly.

also what gets u to the point where u want to put a needle in your arm? is it an easy choice or does it take thought? is there any justification in the mind for doing it? again im not contemplating H, just curious because I am obviously missing something.

Sure Benzo's will they will help the terrable anxiety you get from withdrawl and the shaking and help you relax somewhat.But don't be fooled sure they will help but unless you eather kick or get opiates you are going to feel like shit I don't ccare how many benzo's you eat. But I would rather have benzo's then nothing to help my withdrawl and they help better then any other drug exsept what drug is obvious OPIATES.Also Like Toocrisp said above if you have not been using long and only using a low amount the withdrawl is not going to be that bad its just like the common coled, you get a runny nose,mussle aches, sore throat. A little anxiety etc, its when you do opiates for a long period of time every day and start using alot if when the withdrawls become real real bad. And every time you kick it gets worse and worse. And anothet thing Toocrisp pointed out shich is good, I don't care how high of a herion habbit or pill habbit you have you are not going to dir going threw the DT's, you might feel like you are going to die and you might even want to die but the withdrawl will not kill you.
