Travelling by Car

Fylingdales base is easy to find. It is just off the A169 Whitby to Pickering road (on the left as you travel towards Pickering). The majority of the demonstration will be held at Eller Beck, which is about half a mile from the entrance to Fylingdales base. Eller Beck is on the left, after the entrance to the base if you are travelling towards Pickering and on the right before the entrance to the base if you are travelling from Whitby. Look out for the white marquee. You can park in that area and the police will help you with finding the best place to park.

Was talking to Smartie and his unsuitable mates about exactly what "star wars" is the other night. There is an excellent article detailing Britain's role in the USA's "National Missile Defence" system here:

Change of plan...

I won't have my car this weekend so I will be getting the coach from Huddersfield Train Station at 9am Saturday instead.

It's a 3 hour journey to Flyingdales so it will arrive at Noon. The coach will get back into Huddersfield after 7pm.

The coach costs £9 (£7 consessions)
