Intense Jaw Pain

Hey guys

About 4 days ago, i started having slight pains on the left side of my jaw. It wasnt too bad so i ignored it. But every day since its been getting worse and i woke up this morning and couldn't eat properly because of the pain. If i try to open my mouth wider than a few cm it hurts like mad!

If i touch my jaw or anything it doesnt hurt, it feels like its inside. I move my jaw around and it hurts. I bite down and it hurts.

Any of you know what could cause this? Making i was sleeping on the side or something? Grinding my teeth at night? I really don't know and its kinda annoying/worrying. The pain is crazy!

I was also thinking its possible that my bones are moving cuz about 6 months ago i took my braces off and i was told to wear this fucking retainer which... yeah right as if i would.. so i havent been wearing it but it might be that my jaw and teeth are moving and could be the cause of the pain?

It might be the left side of your teeth, or you could be grinding your teeth. If I were u I would go take advice from a doctor instead of us lawls.

Go to the dentist, he will solve your problem and most likely prescribe you pills if the pain continues.

stop eating laffy taffy if you do...trust me. I had this happen, I kept getting lock jaw. It was because I ate like 20 of those little laffy taffys a day

It's because you didn't wear your retainer.

You'll need braces again because your retainer isn't going to be the right fit anymore.

This happened to my girlfriend. Now I have a girlfriend with braces....

If thats the case then your lucky.... well sort of.

If you do need to get braces that sucks. But if it's your wisdom teeth you'll need to get them pulled... and that sucks too.

Basically it's a lose - lose situation.

Unless nothings wrong. your probably just worrying yourself, and you'll forget in in a couple of days

by the way, do wisdom teeth need to get pulled out? or do they fall out themselves? never really knew haha!

no wisdom teeth dont have to get pulled, most people do though. apparently we dont use them as much as our ancestors. a lot of people get them pulled if they arent coming in perfect. a while ago my dentist said i should be able to keep mine

Well my teeth are good actually.

Never needed braces or anything, although my one front tooth is a little bit more turned than the other....

But my dentist said It will fix itself..... if that makes any sense.

^^ Try it and see. I would think absolutely.
I have mostly good teeth. One orthodontist said I should get braces, but he's a tard. I've been asked if I already had them by someone who thought they looked really good. The only major problem I have is a peg lateral, which is a permanent tooth that's small like a baby tooth, and a permanent tooth that came in behind it because the baby tooth beside it never fell out. My dentist as a kid said it would pretty much even out on it's own once that tooth came in, but I had to get it pulled. It's still not quite right, but I sure don't need braces. It's fixing itself on it's own.

i think you should try the wake and bake and if that helps 'take your mind off things' then you should continue this until appropriate action is sort. in other words get fucked up.
