America, where you the one,
Who robbed me of all sanity?
Without question it was you.
Give it back, won’t you please?
I have paid my dues to you.
fought wars that were not mine to fight.
Lost brothers who weren’t mine to lose
I shed tears that had no place to fall.
For nights I thought it out
Laid every situation out
I’m left with one last answer:
Government’s the enemy
Authority is out to destroy me
Foreign men lined all across
armed and aiming to kill
if happiness is a warm gun
yours didn’t fit the bill
I see you man in uniform,
Never seen such a fine dressed criminal
I see that arm at your side
The one I’d hoped I’d never find
In my path again
And I have no choice left
You don’t deserve such perks
Apple pie with coffee
Free of cost, I’m sure
I’m sorry to interrupt you so late
But justice must be served
Take this silver bullet,
Right in the center
of your government funded skull.
You’ll feel a new feeling
Unfamiliar to you I’m sure
It’s a feeling reserved for soldiers
And the destitute men you ignore
Never noble men like you
Months from now,
I will rise in the court of the government
The government you so altruistically served
And plead mentally insane.
But the jury will find me guilty,
And put my meager soul to death
Who robbed me of all sanity?
Without question it was you.
Give it back, won’t you please?
