too late indeed :(
best is to start germinating the seeds at the end of april/early may and let them grow in a lighted windfree spot untill the end of may.
outdoor weed starts flowering after the longest day (july 21st?) so you have to make sure it did some growing before that.

I can get away with it in south Florida, but you're way to far north.
Wait till after the last frost.

Try growing indoors if you can, you can grow at least 4 crops a year!

lucky you, here it is freezing untill half may and if we have a bad summer like this year it's almost impossible to get a reasonable yield without mold or fungus

That in my opinion is where the seedbank craze and dutch genetics have done wonderful things. Subjecting indicas to those particular climatic conditions and creating strains with a higher tolerance to molds and fungus.
Im fine where i live now- but i took 6 plants from this arid desert climate i live in, up to 3,500 foot elevation last winter. Lost all of them to mold and fungus. wildfires took another five foot indica (four to five foot around) and rabbitys got 22 more that me and a buddy had going.
So like im doing my thing in a closet now and it took awhile to get used to growing inside a small area but now im better off and my harvests are much more secure and actually becoming plannable and predictable.
