Cosmic Anxiety

Are people familiar with the work of Peter Wessel Zapffe (1899-1990), a Swedish philosopher? I’ve found just about everything about him that I can on the internet, but detailed biographical information is lacking, as are most of his works in translation.
But among these is “The Last Messiah,” which while difficult going at times, is brief and powerful, a whallop of truth that, at least for me, sums everything up that can be said about existence (with the exception of some seemingly sexist comments about women, possibly a product of his times).
I’d be interested in anyone’s opinions about Zapffe, and especially some more information on the man himself, his life and other works.
Thanks!
