Hi all,

If plants are showing yellowing on the bottom leaves, and some of the top leaves are getting a variegated dark and light green pattern, what nutes are missing. The plants are fed an organic 5-1-1 fish emulsion at the moment.

Also, can you safely use plain vengar to bring down the ph of your water?

Thanks

pics may help with the diagnosis. that's a pretty low nutrient formula as well.

yellowing on bottom is usually nitrogen deficiency, either from not enough nutes, or ph out of whack. As for the dark/light green, could be magnesium, but pics would help.

Vinegar works to lower ph of water, however i wouldn't use it exclusively, only in a pinch.

Get some proper ph down.

I have hard water. It's at 8. I use vinegar without any problems in my well water. 8 cups of water and 1 teaspoon of vinegar brings my ph down to 6. Most water is hard and buying a solution to bring it down is costly if you use as much water as I do, right now. AND, my girls are beautiful. I have a friend who uses vinegar too without problems. Good luck.
