Love is the answer, and you know that for sure.
Love is a flower, you've got to let it grow.
John Lennon is my favorite Beatle and my favorite solo artist. I've had that song (Mind Games) rolling around in my head for a few days now. I love him!
You could probably fill a book with all the amazing things he said or sang relating to love and peace, but this is what I've got for now. LOL.

"All we are saying is give peace a chance!"
I think that's as basic as it can get. :D

John Lennon is my #1 hero... he was a revolutionary, that's why the government had him killed; because he was opening people's minds.
I love the Beatles, his music, Yoko, etc. Too many people put Yoko down, when in fact what matters is they loved each other.
The Beatles didn't break up because of Yoko. They broke up because they were all growing up and moving on.
John's son, Sean lennon, is an amazing musician! Check him out on Youtube, "Sean lennon". He's very good looking, the perfect mix of John and Yoko... looks a bit like an asian john. My favorite song of his is "Friendly Fire".
As for Julian? I don't really like his music too much... Sean is where its at. Sean is like the prodigy child of two of the greatest artist/activists out there.

I do like Julian. I think they are both great artists, just very different.

I love the fact that everything he said and sung about in the 60's and 70's is still relevent today.

Definately. He's awesome as well; I just tend to prefer John's music, etc. George was pretty cool, too. :)

They're both pretty darn brilliant. Harrison's All Things Must Pass album is phenomenal and probably my favorite post-Beatles by any of the members.
John Lennon's music is a lot more spiritual and I really like how he approaches it. He has such a unique style thats just so beautiful

Words are flying out like
endless rain into a paper cup
They slither while they pass
They slip away across the universe
Pools of sorrow waves of joy
are drifting thorough my open mind
Possessing and caressing me
Images of broken light which
dance before me like a million eyes
That call me on and on across the universe
Thoughts meander like a
restless wind inside a letter box
they tumble blindly as
they make their way across the universe
Sounds of laughter shades of life
are ringing through my open ears
exciting and inviting me
Limitless undying love which
shines around me like a million suns
It calls me on and on across the universe
Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world

If everyone demanded peace instead of a new television set, then there'd be peace.

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

I don't know how pleople can pick their favourite solo artist, let alone favourite Beatle. My favourite is John, because he's an amazing lyricist, Paul because he has an amazing voice, and George, because he's an amazing guitarist, and of course even Ringo, because back in the day he was considered a talented drummer. People nowadays just have different standards for "good drummers". And out of all solo albums I like George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass". And I have a good quote by John Lennon:
"When your police make more than your teachers, you live in a police state."

Though I am biased; I believe The Beatles were so good because of the Chemistry they had when they “Come Together”
Each of the "Fabs" had their own particular style and creative direction; which showed following their split.
Lennons’ iconic status derives itself from his strength of Character, the fact that he was true to his beliefs (not may return their MBE’s) an artist as a Singer, lyricist/poet/writer, Painter and Rebel (with many causes) and his ‘Bed in’ certainly made its point!
He was one of a kind - remember he told us ...
Too many, Jealous Guy/s, Imagine, Instant Karma.
Don’t go Cold Turkey and play Mind Games,
Give Peace a Chance and with Power to the People
the Working Class Hero will find Love!.

John lennon was amazing because he was able to 'affect people so' for good or bad he was able to touch people, and get a reaction ot of them, so much so he almost got deported. As an artist, I olnly hope some day to affect people as much .

John's presence is always felt, many years after his death I listen to his music and it's almost like he's sitting in my living room.
Nobody told me there'd be days like these
Strange days indeed -- most peculiar, mama

some people try to put him down because he was an angry young man in his youth... but look at what he did and how he grew around the time he met Yoko Ono. Regardless of what others say, he loved her and she loves him. She had such a positive, profound influence on him. John was one of the greatest, most influencial artists and peace activists of his time, or perhaps of all time.

I've gotta say i loved it when he said "Would those of you in the cheaper seats clap your hands? And the rest of you, if you'll just rattle your jewelry." not as a great motivation just a brilliantly cynical observation of materialistic wealth.
My favourite beatle is George but he's just my personal favourite, I'm not about to argue that he was the best beatles because it took four beatles to make their true greatness.
"As long as you hate, there will be people to hate." - George. very accurate and true it think, don't be a hater!

John loved Yoko. That's what matters. Because of her his art and music flourished. He simply grew out of The Beatles.

Johns message is so important! If everyone on the earth decided to have peace rather then killing for power, this world would be a paradise of love. Not just a small group can do it, it has to take everyone. One day everyone will shout as one, PEACE!!!
