View Full Version : New Strain Guide Input Wanted!
We have Overgrow's complete strain guide (http://www.mjguide.com/modules.php?name=Strainguide) and grow tutorial (http://www.mjguide.com/modules.php?name=Tutorials) on the Mjguide for you to check out. But there is no way to post a new report, or strain..yet...
I'm busy setting up the New Strain guide for MJGuide.com and I'm looking for input from growers on how to improve on the old Overgrow strain guide.
Are there any features you'd like to see?
Are there any feature you feel were unnecessary in Overgrow's guide?
This new guide will be great for growers and breeders to list the results of their latest grows and the newest strains available.

I was looking at the Mjguide strain guide a few weeks back, and it would be sooo much easier to navigate if you didnt have it organized by seed banks with the strains, but with the strains and the seedbanks that sell those specific strains.
I know that alot of growers know which seedbanks sell what, but alot of people i think would rather be able to get around like i said.

Yes, people will be able to see a list of all the strains as well as search for strains. I see the problem is that Overgrow organized seeds by BREEDERS, not by seedbanks, necessarily (the breeder reports), thus they didn't account for multiple instances of the same strain sold by different seedbanks. Is that right?
It will be difficult at first to account for the different seedbanks until we get a lot of input. Our strain guide will have to built from scratch because we're not going to put the overgrow data in. (at least we have no plan to do that). Of course ppl will be able to rate and comment upon the seedbanks too!
There have been too many changes to the seed lines and seedbanks and we want current info, not from years ago. So we'll be contacting the seedbanks to get their lastest info on what's available. Hopefully they'll be kind enough to enter the info themselves and even take out an ad on the site! :)

Yep I agree with strain first - where to get it next. I'd also like to see THC percentages. Nice guide.

Thats great that you have overgrows strain guide. I wasnt aware that was up anywhere. Ive only found one strain guide at this site named weed bay, and its cool to now have another one to go off of.
The only prob is how its by the seedbanks instead of strain name like someone else already said. Oh and for the new one, i definitely think you Need a spot to upload a pic if there isnt already.(i didnt see it)
Thanks for the feedback! You can post images in the MJ Galleries. There's links on the MJ Guide under Submit Content, and under Features and in the right column there's a random Gallery image with a link to the Galleries. :)
Soon I'll have more of the MJ Guide's menu system available here in the forums.
