In the beginning there was nothing. God said, Let there be light! And there was light. There was still nothing, but you could see it a whole lot better..

In the beginning was the unmanifested God.

That's hardly nothing.

xI imagine so. An unmanifested God would be pure energy; pure cosmic, spiritual energy... at least, that's what i think. Like a little bundle of potential... or rather, a bundle of infinity. Think, 9th dimension.

in the begging there were a bunch of monkeys which got zapped into humans by some mongoloid alien race.

in the begining, which obviously wasn't the begining of anything, someone looked up at the sky and tried to immagine a begining that may or may not have existed.

only our ego requires us to assume there was a bigining. evidence of an expanding universe, or at least what we think we've been able to observe of it, is real enough. every interpretation of that evidence, is of course fallable.

an expanding universe would of course imply a bigining, and we can even calculate backwards on the basis of what we appear to know about how things appear to work, what the end of that begining may have looked like. when those very 'laws' of how things work, were establishing themselves.

what we don't see, deriving those probable conditions, are faces and minds. though minds are something i don't quite see how we'd be able to see anyway. so nothing is either ruled in or out entirely by doing so.

was there a concept before it's exicution, or did things simply sort themselves out, the way a bag of mixed objects dumped onto and inclined plane might? we honestly and truely do not know.

what we do know, is that this is not a question directly pertinent to the focus and purpose of belief, however much it is one of those dead straw horses would be dictators of perception seem to love to flog.

our egos my refuse to accept that we don't know everything and very likely never will, but reality's diversity is rather unaffected by their refusal to do so.

we can, at least, i hope, recognize that we ARE surrounded by a very big and unimaginably diverse universe, in which everything we can imagine CAN exist, though very probably NOT in whatever forms we may have become accustom to convincing each other to imagine it doing so.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.IHBS

But if god is in heaven.. Then he didnt create it.
If you start with NOTHING.. nothing will happen.
God cannot BE without reality already BEING.
Cause god is something.
Thus reality PRECEEDED god.

Reality HAS ALWAYS EXISTED

The bible is a wonderfull book..

But it is not the word of god.
The council of nicaea compiled the bible.. And left out what
THEY did not want the plebs to hear.

thanks, razor. you can't blame the bourbon, but it helps me understand. it's cool that we don't agree. i still respect your mind, as many of your posts make it impossible to do otherwise.
