its been awhile since i actually sat down and wrote something that meant anything to me. This peice explains how it feels to be the unnoticed kid that stands in the corner at parties and other social events. Ive recently become that invisible girl upon moving almost two hours away from the only home Id ever known and my high school. I unfortunately had to switch school and have a hard time meeting people and finding somewhere to fit in within the large sea of public school students. Hope you enjoy. All comments are welcome
THE UNSEEN
standing feet glued to pavement,
eyes locked in the distance,
stumble, fall...
they didnt see you again
the invisible child waiting,
waiting to be seen,
just a glance for a mere second
thats all she wants
to not be unnoticed
to not be invisible day in, day out.
Even those who usually notice her
pass her by without a glance
she murmurs under her breathe
tears push at her eyes
as she realizes shes nothing
a mere waste of space and oxygen
no one around in the crowded world
cares to see her face.
