Rainbow Ocala-who's going?

Just wanted to know who is going to rainbow, and where they are coming from.

I am in orlando, and might need to hitch a ride, i can get to ocala, but i would prefer to go with somebody, and i don't know the exact route through the woods (i am quite directionally challenged)


even if i can't hitch a ride, make sure to talk with other people on this thread and see who's going!

I plan on going out there on the 15th. I would go now but my girlfriend is in school and its her birthday on the 5th and she wants me to be here for valentines day. My birthday is the on the 23rd I want to be in the woods by then.

i end school feb 27, so anytime after that i'm game. what about you?
By March, gathering will be over. Definitely over by 22nd March.

Im heading out the 6th I think. Most likely from tampa. I dont know how im getting there yet. Maybe ill meet up with some family in tampa but i think they are all in the woods already.

I'm an elder from the Israeli Rainbow Family temporarily living in Lake County Florida. The Spirit somehow guided me this far but I don't know where exactly in the Ocala Forest the Gathering will be. I made it to Salt Springs after this weekend's council and some folks said it would be near Alexander Springs. Today I wandered in the area but it's still a pretty big space. Can someone help with navigation? Or do I have to follow the sounds of the drums and the rainbow in the sky? Thanks and blessings unto us all...

1 alegheny gatherin i showed up for a month b4 the 1st ppl, wandered the forrest tryin to guess where it might be, then we just gave up, parked in this spot we actualy hadta jump the van into, maybe 5 days later & we hear voices at the bottom of the hill...turned out it was the 1st kitchen showing up & we somehow parked right at the suply trail head
and at the alabama national we followed the directions we were givin to 1 forrest in the sw corner of the state, actualy were guided by this huge bird, lookedlike a pelican or something that swooped down like 10 feet in front of us & just followed the road maybe a mile or 2 then vannished into the woods right at this clearring, ..about 300 feet off the road was a stump with a tie die on it & a paper bag with directions to another site hundreds of miles away written in penciol so u hadta walk right up to it to see it..the crazy part was that we were the only ones who showed up there except 1 other group of kids who were sleepijn by the side of the forrst service road like 2 weeks waitting for ppl to show up..so following that bird & goin on instinct helped us rescue these kids (story gets even crazier since rescued the exact same kids from the cops 2 months later & 6 states away
1/2 the gatherins ive gone to had inacurate or completely wrong directions
but if u go on instinct you always end up where u r suposed to

I am going sometime next week, I'll be staying in gainesville and trekking out to a camp known as granola funk. They have a kitchen and offer meals in the woods, and I hear it's a happening camp. There are a ton of camps out there, some full of hippies, some full of pirates, find a place between the two, anarchy in the forrest gets a lil chaotic, be weary, be cool, stay strong, have fun.

I have a pretty definate ride on the 15th. That's longer than I wanted to wait ( I wanted to be there on the 9th) but St. Pete is being it's typical vortex (right pugsley?) If I find an awesome ride up there sooner I'll take it, but if not I've got an a place to stay till then as long as I don't fight with the somewhat happy somewhat hippie man that I'm staying with. I think I'm only stayin until the 1st, I was planning on doing cleanup but I heard kids had to sleep in tree's because of mating alligators and that's not my thing. I'll give you guys candy bars for your brave efforts though. see me before I leave. I'm pretty sure there are people there already who will tell you that I'm a bitch so don't make me break out my camo duct tape. It's for more than just wallets, ya know?

Ocala is currently at Duck Pond, HOWEVER the cops have been harrassing ticketing and arresting. The cops "informed" everyone that if they did not move the gathering they would start arresting everyone. There will be a council today to decide what to do. Bad cops- No donut!!!! anyhoo wait for further direction befor heading out to duck pond area. It may be moved!

I've been back and forth between conflicting talk and information about where and when it will be held, this year seems to be confusing many people due to numerous reasons within the gathering and concerning the mainstream.

If you can't make it to the regional gathering, there is always the national gathering in July.

I am looking for a ride or some suggestions. I am coming from NY and I am getting to ORLANDO the morning of the feb 15th. I was wondering if you had any suggestions getting to ocala from orlando.
