As from 11th February 2008, the BBC will no longer be able to afford the contract with Freemantle Media. Therefore, Neighbours will be boogying over to Channel five, or (five).

For over 20 years, viewers have been used to the Neighbours Aussie horror show on the BBC1. But now five are taking over the Freemantle contract. I wonder what people who watch this tripe* think about the move?

They should leave Neighbours be! Although I haven't watched it for a few months and then I saw a little the other day and they are all new people!! I just love Karl - what an amazing man!!

I havent watched neighbours in a long time. I dont think many will follow it onto channel five, a similar thing happened to Home and Away a few years back...

But for fans of Neighbours, a move to five might also mean advanced screenings over on Fivelife;) The BBC have a problem. No neighbours, so I can only assume they will pay some micegirls to sing a few songs in some husky pub with their hair sort of obscuring their right eye. Singing Don't call me baby, by the voice of the beehives(88).

I am looking forward to the move. Not that I watch it, but it is another matchpoint to five. Five 1, BBC nil. Turn away now if you don't want to see the results:)
