he got in a fight with my best friend, refuses to talk to her ever again. i just started my period that morning, had been puking all day, trying to get some sleep, etc. so dave, feeling really sorry for me hit the grocery store.

he bought me some clam chowder from the deli, a sourdough boule, a pint of triple chocolate ice cream and some caramel syrup, a large hershey's special dark chocolate, a large caramello bar, and a bottle of baileys with caramel to drink. the lady at the checkout gave him such a look. lol.

he forgot to get himself and the girls anything to eat.

I got in a fight with my girlfriends best friend recently too, and I never want to talk to her again either

usually I dislike guys more than girls, but lately certain girls are trying to even the score

Dave sounds like a good guy :D

he's such a man that he asked me when he got home "do you have midol? i didnt' think of it until the checkout, but i thought you had some." i didn't have any, and he was sad for me, because he remembered that i love that stuff, it really does work. isn't he wonderful?

WanderingSoul

Midol doesn't work for me. Sound like you have a great guy though! You treat him well too (I read your other thread about not being a man-hater) so that's probably why. :D

he's the coolest. he does make it easy. he's probably the only man in the whole world who enjoys brad pitt and russel crowe enough to watch them with me.

I love midol. But im on the pill anyway so its not that bad for me. Hey if you know anyone equally as caring, KC, send them my way. :)

the last time i told someone "everyone needs a dave," and she agreed, her boyfriend put her in the hospital. it totally proves the point.

dammit, i need to train, er, suggest that my bf do that too :D
naw, im usually the one who needs to apologize and not be so high strung. he does like to annoy/bug me to just past that point of fun anymore, where after ive told him to stop (because i know its gonna irritate the piss out of me soon), he goes further until i snap at him
and apologize
and let him play his video games, heehee

mamaKCita

ahaha, i go play my own. sometimes ill read a book in the same room, but every 5 minutes he wants me to look up and see him do somethign cool
admittedly the game hes playing now has really pretty graphics and hes playing an assassin so ig et to see him kill people, but i dont much like being interrupted repeatedly while trying to read

but seroiusly. how do i train my guy to be more dave-like?

here's what you do, this is the catalogue of my practices:

when he gets home, me and the girls immediately run up and give him hugs, the girls yelling "daddy!!" and me smiling beatifically, because i'm happy he's home. every night. he gets a big hug, kiss and a beer. (sometimes i have dinner ready, but he likes to cook, too.)

when he's cooking, i hang out with him in the kitchen, listening to the details of his day, good or bad. if it's bad i set about being understanding and eventually cajoling him out of a funk by being a goofball.

if he wants to watch football, i hang out and try to watch. i end up asking a lot of questions, because i still have no idea what he's talking about or what's goin on. otherwise i just hang out on the computer and chat with him.

when he's super duper stressed out, i give him a massage and a bj and let him go to sleep.

when he wants to go out for beers with his buddies, or to the titty bar or whatnot, he goes. if he wants to go hunting, he goes. if he wants to sleep in, he does.

and THAT is how i have a man who'll rip out his heart and fry it up for me if i asked. because i'd do the same.

see?! it's easy.
