This is where we can discuss what we need to do to make the new MJ Website better than any out there and deal with issues that arise.

Here is where you need to go to register for the new site:
http://www.mjguide.com/modules.php?...unt&op=new_user (http://www.mjguide.com/modules.php?name=Your_Account&op=new_user)

First off, I'd like to thank those who volunteered to help out on the site. :)

You're getting in on the ground floor of what will become a Great destination on the Internet.

Before we go any further, I need a roll call of those who will be helping with this project.

If you received an invite to this forum, please sign in below.

Thanks.

Great! That's it so far. :) I only invited you three.

Now I need you guys to read this and respond to me here or by PM;

Are you a Law Enforcement Officer or in any way engaged in cooperating with any government agency of any country or independent law enforcement agency? I need a YES or NO from each of you.

If you are, and do not announce it now, you will never get any cooperation from us in the future, regardless of circumstances. It means you violate our user agreements and thus are also personally liable for damages if we choose to sue you (not your agency) for your activities on any site we administer. Our members and other visitors might also choose to sue you personally if you lie about your activities.

This is an important tip to anyone who finds themselves at odds with the law. In certain circumstances individuals can be held liable for their actions if they themselves break laws or deceive people in the process of enforcing the law.

You might get no satisfaction from suing their agency which itself has a lot of legal protections and can get away with a lot of shit. But the individual LEO is still personally responsible for their actions as a citizen, and if in the process of working for an agency they violate the rights of another person, or interfere with a legitimate business, they can be personally held responsible in a court of law. :)

Just to give you an idea of possible scenario; Say a LEO gets our site shutdown due to the activities of one of our members. That LEO can be sued for damages by our company for lost income because they deceived us and used our website for purposes we didn't authorize.

On the other hand, if some LEO was only visiting to look for kiddie porn on the site, we probably wouldn't care and would assist with an investigation. Of course we'd need to know about it in advance otherwise there is deception and that may be legally actionable.

(I've been wanting to add that message to the Hip Forums Registration process for a long time!)

I also need all of you to certify that you are of legal age where you reside and are not a minor.

OK, that's the legal shit out of the way! More later...

I am definitely not an LEO. I am currently on probation due to LEO's. And my age as shown in my profile is 100% correct.

question for you guys on parole. What restrictions are you under? (you can PM me if you like). I don't want you jeopardizing your freedom. We aren't going to be doing anything illegal on the site, obviously, but sometimes there are restrictions on who you can "associate" with or even to stay away from "drug websites" could be a condition.

i have no restrictions as to who i associate with or where i go. I am not technically on probation; but that is what the state calls it. I have to pay for the pleasure of pissing in the states cup when they beckon til march. So not really probation, but they call it that.

As far as the topics go, I can't tell you them now. They will be the first thing you see when you access the site.

Basically you will be using the site either as a grower, consumer or cannabis business person. So your 'angle' will reflect your interests. :)

Anyone can help post up info on Cannabis. :)

You just need to be passionate about the herb! ;)

I got a lot done today! So I think in the next couple of days you ppl can access the site, so keep checking back. I'll post up the URL right in this thread.

I'll create some new threads for various purposes so we can communicate and keep track of things that need to be done.

The first thing you guys will need to do is create an account on the new site. I've hidden the links for that because we expect ppl to register here for most things. Only those who are going to contribute news stories, reviews and do a grow journal will need to register on the new site (this may change).

So to register you just need to make like you're going to post up a review or article and it'll provide the registration link. If you change your handle on the new site, let us know what your new name is! :)

I'm glad you're all excited because I am too!

I'm looking forward to your comments & suggestions and I'll start another thread for that. I want to know what YOU want in an MJ website! :)
