what is your opinion on the Eclectic Path? Like I mean, people who take a little bit of everything from different paths, and / or make their own.

This model of operation is the same in both religions and individuals.

Both knit together bits and pieces into a new fabric of beliefs and make it their own.

Yeah, that's what I do. A little bit of Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, existentialism, pragmatism, naturalism, humanism--in a Christian framework.

so now we've found a label for not having a particular religious label. :)

this has got to be the only thing close to a free-willed religious path, so i'm in. i think it's great. couldn't we just take all of the labels out, though? or most of em, anyway. we could just consider everyone on the path to illumination, or whatever ya wanna call it. i don't know....ramblin again.......

All religions are trying to say the same thing. But because of the flaws of language, they are all interpreted differently.

Do not worry, more people are realizing the value of each religion. All of my friends follow the eclectic path and I meet new people everyday that do as well.

But we must understand why some people are afraid to reach outside of their own religion. We shouldn't force ours upon them, and we shouldn't be surprised when they try to push their's off on us. They truly believe they are trying to help.

By the way, the way of the Jedi is well within the boundries of truth and has a lot to offer those who study its implications and application.
