Which do you prefer and why?

tryptamines. my favourite drugs are mush, and acid, and they're both trytamines so i'm going with that.

The only Phenethylamine I have tried is Mescaline. IDK, I mean all Tryptamines have that signature Tryptamine vibrationbuzz/quality. It is something I can't describe, but it is in my visuals and it is in the body high, and I always have the impression that it was there long before I started tripping. I don't know, but I have observed it in dreams before, and I always have this strange inkling that everything that is happenening during my trip has happened before, and I am just observing it once again. No offense, but the question of which is better seems totally absurd to me, and totally irrelevant to the acutal purpose of using these tools.

like NMT and AMT lack it, but phenethylamines like 2CB and 2CT7 have it.
i love phens, but not their effect on alpha/beta adrenergic receptors. i'll have to go with tryptamines because of lack of body-load that is characteristic of most phens. DPT is choice, followed by psilocin. mesc is tied with LSD for third.

tryptamines. my favourite drugs are mush, and acid, and they're both trytamines so i'm going with that. acid is also a phenethylamine

im fairly certain that not technically a tryptamine, LSD has a tryptamine base so one would, for purposes regarding its effects, put LSD in the class of tryptamines
and as for me i put tryptamines because i feel like there is something magical in the experience while most phenethylamines feel really forced and fake and often less psychedelic and more stimulant like as they are indeed predominantly stimulants(i.e. amphetamines)

Vapordude, I wasn't asking which is better, b/c yes that would be absurd as you put it. I was simply asking which you prefer (there is a huge difference between better & which one you personally prefer) b/c as humans we all have our preferences; that is just part of human nature.
Also, in response to the other poster LSD is an ergotamine that falls into the Tryptamine family, not the Phenethylamine family.
Peace.

LSD is actually considered an ergoline, which is the nuclear polycyclic structure that has both functional groups.. the tryptamine shares the same nitrogen as the phenethylamine.. which essentially means LSD acts as a neurotransmitter at dopamine/norepinephrine and serotonin receptors.
I definitely feel the same way about tryptamines. they're my favorite to do, and study

I am very novice in drug chemistry, but I have read about Phenethylamines being related to Amphetamines. If LSD is part of the Phen. family than would that be the reason why Acid and Mesc. and MDxx can all have that speed tinge (bodyload, CNS stimulation, racing thoughts, general excitement and euphoria, whatever etc....), and a chemical like Psilocybin would not?

pretty much

LSD has affinity for a wide array of receptor sites, from high affinity to 5HT2A and 5HT1, to low affinity for H1 (and this is due to substrate mimicry). the different sensations you feel really are from neurological interactions

5HT- receptor sites being Serotonin receptors? This is really interesting.

5HT- receptor sites being Serotonin receptors? This is really interesting.yes. indolic compounds typically have affinity for serotonin receptors. somatic side effects include yawning, tactile sensations, and inadvertent grinning.

waaaay 2 tight for me to decide. tryptamines include alllll the psychedelics, but adderall might have to outweight all of them cus they fuel my work-ish life. dam...but tryptamines are fun. so ill go with them.

LSD IS NOT A TRYPTAMINE! i know that the synthesis for LSD is in Tihkal.. but everything else i have read says it is NOT a tryptamine.
sorry...
and i personally like Phenethylamines much better... there so much lighter.. at least 2c b is.. lol.
but i really dont feel that i have expiriance tryptamines to there full potential without having done DMT.

it's an ergoline, which has both a phenethylamine and a tryptamine moeity, depending on how you look at it.
