NO!!!! funny how that works, if it's an 18 yo goin out with a 14 yo it's bad but if it's an 18 yo goin out with a 22 yo it's ok.

In MOST states in the USA, Yes, it is. Legally. Your relationship could send him to prison fror 20yrs to life. My advice is to WAIT for each other and see if ya still feel the same at age 18.

I agree! If you're 14 do NOT do anything with him! Wait or find someone else under 18 so neither of you get into trouble.

It could work if the 18 year old were REALLY IMMATURE.
But otherwise no. And who would want a relationship with someone that immature anyways?

It depends on what kind of "dating" is going on. Just hanging out with someone, going to the movies, going to the beach, and so forth is perfectly reasonable in this day and age. Fourteen year-olds are capable of handling themselves quite well, to a significant extent.

I don't approve. Honestly I wouldn't care or say anything if I knew someone in the situation but I think there is a massive gap in maturity in those two ages. While every situation is different I have to say that generally, I find it to be unacceptable.
But it's not my life.

Eh possibly. It completely depends on the people. Personally, I don't think it sounds like a good idea considering the legal issues and the amount of development that occurs between those two ages. =S

At my school, people say that anyone in highschool can date anyone else in highschool, so I say it's okay. I only agree with it partly though, 4 years is a bit of an age/maturity difference....

On are first meeting the girl that would become my wife was 13, and I was 18. We did not start dating until she was 14. We date for two years before we went beyond simple petting. By that time we had already commited to each other. We were also veary veary careful. Shortly after she turned 18 we married. We will be married 39 years next year. So, no I do not think the age difference is a problem. I would advise againt sex however. <(^o^)>
