Let me start off by saying: My main experience with drugs lies with ecstacy. Also, when I decided to do this... I had been awake for about 25 straight hours (no reason, just never got tired and never went to bed. Don't ask. I haven't done that in about 2 years.) Now that we have that out of the way....I robotripped for the first time yesterday. It was definitely fun.
I took 10 Robitussin gelcaps at 11:15a.m. yesterday. The effects took somewhere between 45 minutes to an hour to kick in. It didn't seem like much at first. But I think by about one it really started kicking my ass.
I could hardly walk. It was the biggest effort to get from my bedroom to the bathroom. And they are only about 10 steps away from each other. It was pretty insane.
I was messing around on the internet for a little while, but looking at the computer screen got to be too hard. Not to mention staying upright on the chair. So, I moved over to lay on the bed and I talked to my best friend on the phone for about an hour.
Around 1:30 or 1:45pm, she had to start getting ready for work, so we got off the phone. I tried to call a few other people, cause talking on the phone seemed like an awesome idea. No one answer.
So, I laid there for awhile and eventually ended up going to sleep. When I woke up, I had conflicting feelings about how much time had passed. On one hand, it felt like I'd been there for about 10 minutes. On the other, it felt like 12 hours. The 12 hours reaction happened initially, and then I realized it was still light outside, so it had to be 2:07pm, rather than a.m. haha
I think I just messed around online again for a few hours, looking at really random stuff... Honestly I don't even remember. The next thing I remember super clearly is around 4, my sister calls me from work and asked me to get her something to eat.
I was still a little out of it, but I wasn't dizzy like before, I could walk, etc... so I figured I was safe to drive. And I was. I went and got her food and took it to her and told her what I was doing. She said "Ew, gross." haha even after I explained I took the caps and didn't drink the syrup lol.
Got back to the apartment soon after I dropped the food off to my sister. And around 6p.m. I decided to take the remaining 10. I was online at this point (there's not much to do around here lol)
7pm hit and it was kicking my ass. HARD. Moving at all made everything swirl, though it felt more like I was spinning while everything else was spinning, even though somewhere in the back of my mind I know I was actually staying still. Even just moving my eyes gave me that sensation. It was pretty intense.
So, I decided sitting in the computer chair was too much and made my way back to the bed. At first, I was just gonna lay there and listen to music, but that got really boring really fast, so I turned the music off and turned on the t.v.
I flipped around until I found something I'd watch. I watched Family Guy for an hour and then started dozing in and out of a not-really sleep-like state. It was pretty weird.
I'm not entirely sure what time it was, but there was one point I remember very clearly. I had felt slightly nauseous when I had taken the first set of 10, but nothing overbearing that I couldn't ignore. By this time (my guess is around 8 or so), I had taken the second set of 10 and I felt so sick to my stomach. It was almost ridiculous.
So, I got up and went to the bathroom and as soon as I got done going to the bathroom, the worst feeling of nausea I can ever remember having hit me. HARD. I sat down on the floor and leaned against the bathtub and started taking what I realize now were probably quick rather than slow, but deep breaths. I think breathing like that kind of made me freak out a little...cause I vaguely remember feeling a tiny bit of panic, but it didn't last but a few seconds. The thing that ended up making me feel the best at that point was laying down on the freezing cold tile floor in the bathroom.
By about 9, I'm laying in bed in that not-quite sleep-like state, zoning in and out every 10 seconds to TBS playing the year's funniest commercials. At this point, I think everything had finally kicked my ass so hard, not to mention all the hours I'd been awake by now (total: about 35 hours), I just finally totally crashed out and fell asleep.
I had fun on this. It's not something I would do if I thought I needed to be very active or aware of things (no driving or anything like that at all!), but if I'm gonna be somewhere for awhile and I'm bored and I feel like getting a little messed up, I might go for it.
My only real problems with it were the nausea. I hated that feeling. I think it's all definitely something I'd like to do again, and maybe actually trip with someone else next time. :) And if you took the time to read all this, thanks!
Random question: What effects would taking two 500mg vitamin C tablets with the 'tussin gelcaps have?
