Psychedelic Color Meanings.

I have a question about the meanings behind the Psychedelic Colors that were so popular during the late-60's to mid-70's. I guess I will just go down the Rainbow Color Spectrum; Violet, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red & Pink. What did each of these 7 colors stand for or mean during the Hippy-Era? I am especially curious about the last color; Pink (sometimes called Rose), which was often used in many of the posters/prints of that time-period.
