so...tonight i've been planing to go and see this band that i love, everyones gonna be there, all my friends
it's gonna be a total blast

but then i get this call

from a friend of mine that i've worked with and he wanted me to work tonight
and i need money like fucking mad :(

so i tell him no

but now i feel guilty, cause i need the money
and i hate letting him down like that
but in truth, he calls me now and wants me to work in 5 hrs, straight tru til close..
he didn't give me much notice...

but i still feel bad
cause i've spent so much of my europe trip money on christmas :(

and i know i'm gonna go to the bar and spend more money :(

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

did i make the right decision?
i hate money...as in i hate not having it....

It doesn't seem like a biggy.

People call other people all the time to see if they can work for them... I don't think that he'll be mad at you for not covering for him... at least he has no excuse to... and if he is "disappointed", then he's an ass.

...and the money... fuck the money man... honestly... just take over someone else's shift next week... it's that easy. I'm sure that at least one person isn't gonna want to work.

You go out there and have yourself a blast... money is not worth worrying about.

5 hours is about as much notice as you can realistically expect if your looking to cover random shifts.

but if you have other plans, weren't scheduled to work, and hell, don't even really work there apparently, then there's no reason to feel guilty about saying no

like i said earlier in this thread
i do not even work at this place
they have never officially hired me

i worked one other shift at that place before..and that was weeks ago
that in my mind means i don't work there

yeah so i went to the show, and HOLY FUCK!!!!!!! :D :D :D
it was so fucking worth it, you have no idea
so fucking worth it
it made me so fucking happy
i had one of the best nights .. with some exceptions...but yeah over all there was just so much love and energy flowing through the bar
i was realitively sober, just soaking up the love vibes

it turned me into a total hippie
but i'm so in love with everyone that was there

i think the ratio of normal hair to dreads was like 1:1 :D
so many amazing beautiful dready people
god i loved it

in that situation you're right
sometimes the night goes wrong and if that had happened i'd be kicking myself
but i knew before i even made this thread i'd be going to the show and having a blast :D
and that's what happened :D
i've become so damn cuddly lately, i'm not as hard edge as i used to be, i'm kinda disappointed
i'm turning soft like a girl

but also i love it, cause i love love :D
