Right, so I'm 15, and a freshman in highschool. I've been pretty interested in tripping for a while now and the other day I got offered some free acid. I turned it down then because my parents aren't going anywhere for a while and I don't think I would be comfortable tripping around them.
If my parents did leave for most of the day and I got a good friend over too (he might trip too) then would it be a good idea? I've smoked sativa twice before and I handled it alright. Should I resist the urge and try shrooms out first?
It's not IF I want to trip, it's when.

Eh... My suggestions would be wait a year or two. The next two years you should gain a lot of wisdom and knowledge, and any drugs beyond pot or alcohol here and there could seriously lessen this gain of knowledge. Psychedelics make you addicted to freedom as well, so sitting in high school could be unbearable for another four years. This tension very quickly leads to depression and sheltered anger. I tried psychedelics for the first time the month before senior year started and right now I feel about ready to snap because of the insanity of that place. So just wait for a while to expand your mind, you will thank your self later.

I'd wait a couple years also. Of course I'm old and I have the benefit of hindsight :)

you arent kidding. it feels rediculus to follow a set schedule every single day with no room for spontinuity. all the stupid, ignorant kids who are addicted to their fashions and money. the obsurdity of it all seems so obvious to me. but most people just cant break through the wall that society has built up over the years.
but at the same time, lsd makes you appreciate learning alot more. ever since ive started tripping i find science and english and history so much more interesting. math..not so much....but hey, what are ya gonna do?
i would say wait a bit. when i was a freshman i was CONVINCED i could handle shrooms and acid. when i finally dropped acid 2 years later, i realized how fucked i would have been if i had somehow gotten acid back then. it may not seem like it, but you mature ALOT between freshman and junior year....at least i did......i know some people that havnt......ya know, those seniors that act like they are 9...:ack:

Decide for yourself.
It won't show you anything thats not true.
Just remember, you may be reborn a new person
and you have to embrace whoever that person is.

Sounds pretty inconvenient and taxing for a 15 year old. Doesn't sound all that worth it.

Thank you all for your input. I'll probably end up waiting until I have more freedom in at least my afternoon schedules. My teachers load the freshmen up with work and let the juniors and seniors be responsible for themselves. Perhaps stress like this wouldn't be good while I were so young after having the boundaries of my mind opened. Our school is very focused on giving the kids the freedom to grow how they choose. Half the day we can choose electives and learn whatever we find the most interesting. It's a very small school too, with hardly any arrogant people.
With that said, I think I wouldn't feel constricted in the school's enviornment. Perhaps I should watch and wait until the time is right. I might know when it's the right time for me. I do think overpreparing would be the wrong thing for me to do. It tends to make me nervous, and I would rather feel comfortable.

Ah, well you have shown yourself to be smarter than most of the people on these forums already haha. Good choice my friend. I know your situation, and my biggest advice is to try to just get the curiosity about psychedelics out of your head for the time being. Before I tried them I was WAY too obsessed about finding psychedelics, and even now I'm trying to think about them less. Even being a member of these forums gets you thinking about drugs too much, at least for me.

You sound smart enough, I don't think LSD would do you any harm, unless there's something wrong with you in the head. No doubt in my mind I could of handled it just as well 2 years ago (I'm almost 17). If it's free standard sized blotters I'd go for it, else I might just worry what I'm really getting is.
