Yeah, you read that right, not dreaming ON Lsd, but dreaming OF it.

A few nights ago, I had a dream that I was on LSD. And as many of the regulars here would know, I have not done it before, because I haven't been so fortunate, but I knew in my dream, it wasn't an ordinary drug. I tried to go on my computer, but words were melting off the screen, and things just 'seemed' different.

It's really starting to get to me that I can't find it. Like, it really bothers me. I don't know. It's just a gut wrenching feeling really.

Just thought I'd vent...

Lucy will find you when the time is right.

Lucy will find you when the time is right.
I hear that often, but sometimes, it just seems a bit unfair. Some people who have no interest in taking it have easy access to it. People who are very irresponsible take it, and have easy access. But someone who wants to be responsible with it, cannot seem to locate it at all. All I get is false promises of people saying "I know someone, and they can get you some!", but then they "forgot". Ugh.

You see, that is the first lesson that Lucy is teaching you and you didn't even take it yet! It is teaching you patience and that wanting something soooo badly is maybe not the right way.She is trying to tell you to relax and see how life itself is beautiful, and to try to accept and welcome everything that comes your way, that life is not only about getting Lucy. I know that because I went through that also, only I was searching for DMT. The whole life was imagining how it will be when I find it, and untill I gave up and started appritiating life itself, not really thinking of DMT there was no chance for me to find it. Once I relaxed, a friend just came and said look what I brought, DMT. When you relax and stop thinking of it so much, I promise you, it will find you!

Yeah, I guess you're right. It's just, ever since I've started reading about it, and not assuming it was some "killer drug that stays in your spine", then it's always made me all curious. Anyways, I guess I'll just have to wait it out. :)

The whole deal about people saying that LSD will find you when your time is right, I think, is misunderstood by many people. Judging by your posts in this thread theguitarman I can see that you at least have some comprehension, if not full understanding, of what that statement means. For those who dont, it is not a matter of LSD having a mind of it's own or any spiritual guidance bringing it into your life, nothing like that at all. It is a matter of personal karma, and what taking LSD will do to you should you have it at any particular moment in the eternal Now. For example, the people you brought up who are irresponsible and take LSD for the 'wrong' reasons, and have easy access to it, are going to have the potential to learn a life lesson from the drug that would be more demanding than a lesson you, who is already an open minded, optimistic person, would have to learn. It's just how it is, I've seen some pretty negative people open up on LSD, and also seen them hate the experience but also be humbled at the fact they couldnt handle a drug, which though they may not openly admit it, they still feel put in place by something far greater than themselves on the inside.
Another way to look at it is that LSD can (and almost always does) cause a minor death, the middle death, one of many but one of the most notable and profound, in the manner of ego death. And just like the Big death when you are called Home to leave the party, everyone of us has our time when were ready to go :)

It started happening to me about two years ago.. i started dreaming about lsd as soon as i got interested in it..ive had so many dreams where ive been on acid and in the morning id always waking up thinking wow i cant wait to try acid..unfortunately though the first time i dropped which was a few days ago it had absolutely no effect on me and im not sure what this means in terms of whether its trying to tell me something. but i definitely know that i would love to experiment more with this beautiful substance and see what it can show me..i'm not afraid to admit though that i am still scared of it and i hope that the time will come one day when i can go into an acid trip without fear of what can happen.

i know exactly how you feel! i have been reading about it for a long time too and dreaming about it. I still havent tried it! but i have relaxed a bit, stopped being so paranoid about it and it has become available to me. Now I just have to wait for the right time and do it with the right people :D

Acid actually did find me, but I had already put it out there that I was going to want some if my friends ran into anybody.

I've had a dream I was tripping on LSD and it was pretty accurate (before I did LSD). Not so much the things in my vision, but my vision itsself was melt-ish and fish eyed.

i am not saying that 18 is too young to trip but i do think that tripping is better when you are older.

i had a few trips when i was 18 and ya they were fun and all. it wasn’t until i was 23 that i started to really experience LSD. i know for sure that tripping gets better with maturity. not like it would be a bad idea to trip at your age - what i am getting at is that you really are not missing out on much. be patient and you will find what you are looking for.

you had that dream so you should be fairly confident that you will find some at some point in the future. at least that is what i get from that dream. even if you wait 2 years before you find any you can still enjoy a good many trips.

Yeah, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's the age that matters. It could be the experience. If someone first took LSD at 35, and someone first take LSD at 35, that doesn't necessarily mean that the 35 year old's trip will be amazing because he's 35.

But on another note, I do see what you're getting at. :)

Plus its not so much the age as it is the amount of times you have taken LSD. I notice MASSIVE difference in both comfortability and understanding of the psychedelic experience these days as when I first started at 14. Life experience, but also the more you dose the closer you get to the nature of the trip!

I am leaning towards agreeing with 3xi. Your brain changes frequently every year until you are about 25. That is just human biology. Honestly though I think that you should start tripping around 18 and continue tripping about once a year the rest of your life as needed.
