Throughout my life, I've learned that religion doesn't matter to me. Not to say I would disrespect someone's choice or laugh at someone because of what they believe in, but I feel that God and I have our own special bond.

I don't need to follow commandments, I don't need to give sacrifices and I won't be "saved" if I follow a certain religion.
All God asks of me is that I do as well for myself as I can. Such as, going through college, having common sense when it comes to stealing, being "nice" to people and so on.

And to top it all off..apparently...burning in hell is going to be a lot less painful than decades of being confused about my gender. Yeah, well maybe its quicker, but less painful? I don't f....ng think so.

Looking back, I don't think I was ever really confused about anything. I just didn't see a way to fix my body until I saw people doing it. Medicine has advanced to the point where the treatment of the problem was actually feasible, for the first time in history. Just think... all these thousands of years, and we are living in the first moments when this can actually be treated.

Lower surgery for MtF's is good and getting better. Your face can be fixed so you don't see the monster in the mirror, and you can get a "perfect" female voice with effort. For guys, they usually get the proper tone and deepening from just from hormones (though I suppose it takes a little practice to learn how other guys talk too? :), and they tend to turn out very handsome. I have hope that in the near future the surgical side of things will improve for y'all- maybe even from stem cell research, where they are making breakthroughs.

It used to confuse me, seeing people who want to punish me for having what amounts to a birth defect. But then in the past, didn't they used to say that people with birth defects and diseases have offended God and are being punished? God's human minions are just "helping", I suppose. It must be nice to be perfect, so that God never scourges you.

But it all really made sense when I thought of humans as primates. Look at how primates act instinctively... They establish hierarchies and social pecking orders, and each layer in the society then steps on those below it. Monkeys that are too different get cast out and otherwise abused. Even chickens exhibit this genetically programmed behavior, pecking to death the one with the odd feathers. I wonder what kind of environmental pressure encouraged this genetic behavior.

I suppose it is too great a hope to believe that humans en masse can overcome their biology, the crude urge to engage in their lowest primal behavior. Some can to a degree, and they become the great philosophers, artists, and just downright good people. Some will never rise above their base instinct. They become the purveyors of hate, the destroyers of freedom.

I just want to jump in and let this guy know that he is a total idiot. I don' t think he has any idea what he is talking about. I also for the record want to let everyone know that I do believe greatly in Jesus and His love for us. I will not deny Him. What I will deny however is to be intimidated by a Jesus wannabe hater.
