soooo i wanna do somethign more active in term two. im thinking of belly dance, tai chi or a martial art (http://pekiti-tirsia.ca/htmls/home.htm specifically, filipino martial art thinger). belly dance is wednesday nights probably, the pekiti is sat and sun 10am to noon, and i dont know about tai chi. im gonna be taking a full coarseload, graduating, working part time and doing a mentorship program thinger (but teh mentorship wont interfere with the hours of the things im looking at, and my work schedule i can work around it... i usually only work evenings and booking off one night a week isnt a big deal)

so, thoughts? my bf doesnt believe i can stick with one of them, let alone more than one. i disagree, but anyway. which should i do? not all 3 for sure

i've kinda been interested in belly dancing myself...but for some illogical reason i think it would be weird to be a pale redheaded belly dancer.

Oh man Kle, go with the Kali. I like saying that. :D

Bruce Lee, cross trained in FMA (kali) along with wing chun, which becomes a lot of the basis for Jeet Kune Do.

It is an efficient, beautiful, and culturally rich style. I know you like I seek to balance the forces of right and wrong in the universe. As we master the arts of war at the highest level, all that's left is peace, and you seek to spread that unto the world.

Grandiose and quixotic sure. But you will get into superb shape and have so much fun doing martial arts.

You'd probably like belly dancing too. It's sensual and I bet it's fun. It's what I'd recommend if you don't chose the kung fu option.

im leaning towards both belly dancing and the kali stuff, just worried about time. but, kali is only on weekend morning/afternoons and i dont work then, i just sleep in then. i can sleep in on fridays still as i dont have calss then. and belly dancing should just be wednesday night, and its not like booking off one night of work a week is too much

<.< but my bf doesnt think i can stick with two things. i wanna go at least test out the kali thing, as their ad says you can have a free lesson to see if you like it, before signing up for good. im so out of shape, im worried it might be too intensen for me to start off with, yknow?

grr. i want both! i really reallyr eally miss belly dancing, but teh school i took it with, not much of a work out. i mean, it does strengthen muscles n stuff, but its rather low impiact

belly dancing is mad fun!

i personally can't keep up with more than one thing, this summer i was doing belly dancing, yoga and boxing...but i'm just too lazy

i've gotta get back into the exercise thing

ive been really bad too >.> i keep meanign to go to the gym but its a pain in the ass, since i dont really have an obligation to go there just a desire to be in shape and lose a few lbs. bah

so do both...i'm sure the teachers will accommodate you with you getting back into shape

i'd test it out for sure :)
