I have not been alive long enough to watch the world change to what it is now, but I've done my research.
Research that came naturally. The times now don't satisfy me. Infact, they disappoint me. They confuse me in a way about the people. The people now are all materialistic, nonrealisitc, without spirituality but love of money. WHAT IS UP?! There is no one standing up for anything of great importance i.e. John Lennon ), and peace has always been important, but no one even seems to care about that! And it's not even about peace, but common sense, and no one seems to care about that either!

I am just curious to see what you all might think, the real hippies who lived through the time and are still here. Thanks.

Actually, I think more folks are standing up than before, but they get lost in the shuffle as being "fruit loops". Unfortunately, what happened in the 60's happened due to just the right ingredients, and we are now jaded. I'm afraid in THIS time period, John Lennon would be ridiculed and boycotted. Definitely hated by people who could spread that hate RAPIDLY across the internet. LSD would be seen as just another bad drug. People like Timothy Leary And Jerry Rubin would be put in jail, silenced in some way, ridiculed...

It's DAMN hard being an activist these days. The police state makes things more difficult. The collective dumbing down of Americans makes it more difficult.
Everybody is spoiled, and can't agree on anything. Environmentalists are fighting amongst themselves... "9-11" truthers are fighting amongst themselves.

BUT, I think soon things will come to a head. and again there will be a DIFFERENT set of ingredients to make a whole NEW revolution. Don't look for the biggest noise to come from the hippy element this time. Because now it's about ALL of us.
