i an needing some help in searching for a job. it would be very groovy if it was a "hippie" job. i have tried a few of the suggestions in the cute fun book the hippie handbook by chelsea cain. some of the suggestions do not apply to my area. most require "tests" which is a drag. others require a degree which i do not have. i would love to do something creative. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

peace and grooviness

That's a good question!!

I'm not too sure lol... What do you like doing?
Maybe something like making your own tie-dye clothing and selling it? Maybe a bit of a risk though I think... Same goes for making jewelery, etc.
Owning a health-shop? Requires hard work in the beginning, and resources, and risks.

I can't think of anything else. I hope this helped though :)

You can look for "hippy" friendly retailers or grocers/co-ops. Also, most public institutions can't discriminate against long hair/different appearances, so that might be a more friednly environment than a corporate place.

The bad news is that there are very few jobs that actually pay well that fit into a true hippy lifestyle.

Move to a farm and live off the land... That seems to me to be the quintessential hippy "job" :)
