Don't worry. Buddhism is just a concept. There is only the path. Later you realise the path is a concept as well.

Just be mindful of not running up and down the shore and just move, it's always forward. Enjoy the ride. (I'm guessing you know the parable of the raft).

Basically a person is on a journey. (S)He comes to a river and builds a raft to carry them across. When they reach the other side they abandon the raft and carry on.

The shore they start on represents the conditioned world. The far shore is Nirvana. The raft is what gets you from here to Nirvana.

The raft is simple, doesn't have anymore than it needs. When the Buddha told the story he mentioned many properties of the raft that are unneccersary. Some people decide they are going to put a Kitchen and bedroom on the raft. Some put ornate decoration. Some say their raft is better than others. Some people take photos of other peoples rafts and show them around. All the while they remain moored at the near shore.

The best raft is one you get on, sail across with, then abandon.

There is no point running up and down the near shore, just lash your raft together, get on and go.
