I can tell you about the color purple, and it's relation to cannabis. It is actually interesting though slightly off-topic.
Purple cannabis is generally caused by winter or late fall. The soil temperatures get cold, and at a certain temp your available phosphorus becomes unavailable.
Fact : cold soil locks in the phosphorus, making it unavailable.
This is the case with purple kush, and some of your higher mountain purple varieties. Not all plants turn purple outdoors, and possibly none will indoors. The ratio of purple plants is generally 50-50 (purple green)or even 33% purple, with lime green and gold offspring as well.
There are black afghani hashplants, and a blaack african, which was actually imported to africa some 420 years ago ( when i learned this was 20 years ago and the legend tells you 400 years ago, thought it was funny and factual to put 420 years)
The bud from the black african, can be discerned by the telltale drops of gooey resin secreting inside of the bud.Commonly believed to be a trait picked up from the afghani adapting to the humidity of the african jungles from arid hot afghanistan.
zihuatenejo purple is a mexican strain from just above alcapulco, mexico.IT IS A sativa purple strain, almost black and insane looking.
It is believed that the color purple within this rarest of strains, is caused by birds. Seriously, zihuatenejo is a penninsula, which has been a migratory haven for seabirds forever, since it's existence im sure. The mainstream therory of knowlegable growers into this sort of thing, is that the seabirds From this area, lack phosphorus in their shit, and seabird guano covers most of the penninsula, It has naturally been fertilized by seabirdguano. So the island has a low phosphorus level in the soil naturally causing the plants to be purple.
Some are genetically purple throughout vegitation, some turn only in winter, when the lockup occurs.
Last i knew there was no conclusive evedence that completely purple vegitative plants were influenced by soil factors, but it is a plausable theory.
I think your genetics would be afghani, kush, and possibly "the purp" or even the zihuateneo- but i doubt it, that sativa is very rare.
But doesn't "the purp" have sativa background in it's genetics?
But that is an interesting sounding hybrid- whateverthe'ell ya wanna call it.
I might add that I love purple plants, there is nothing that intrigues or thrills me more than a solid black-purple plant. I love the color purple, and well, purple haze and purple tiedyes in the sky and mendocino purple.

I have to say that if it finishes in sept, it must be either a 6 or 8 week strain. But watch the trichs and you'll know.

Those finish dates outdoors are probably for thier part of canada.
-----
The further south you are the later in the year the plants will finish, due to the later sunset as you head toward the equator.
Look up your lattitude and than the day on which there is 12 hours between sun-up and sun-down. Unless you live in a place that's flat to the east and west, your plants will start budding in earnest shortly after this date.
If the horizon is flat, it will probably take up to 2-3 weeks longer for an equal response.
If it's in rugged mountains to the east and/or west, it will finish earlier.
