I get that all the time... and ive never been on an IV. In fact I just got over it less than a week ago. I get it enough to warrant having them removed, but its a pain in the ass to get them to approve it.

If you get it from a virus there's nothing you can do except take meds to reduce the symptoms and eventually it goes away.

If its a bacterial infection (which sounds like it is) you go on an antibiotic.

You must have just had it REALLY bad.

but they're not going to take them out, it's alot better for your body to have them in
as much of a pain in the ass it is, having a sore throat is better than having your kidneys fail

My mom got hers out when she was a kid and never had any problems with her throat since and hardly ever gets sick.

Only time I get sick is when I get tonsil problems, or strep. Ive had a few docs recommend I lose them, but someone down the line always squashes it, whether is was the insurance company or one of the higher ups.

But I totally know the feeling. I hate it more than anything... but I always lose weight. bah.

Mine are all scarred from getting it so much that I developed really deep pockets and lines which get tonsil stones. Its gross as hell, but im REALLY big on oral hygiene so you'd never know it unless I told you.
