pieces of april being swept away
threading a needle patching up on may
june's around the corner laughing all the way
places in the heart saving for a rainy day

pocket full of seashells, sunburned hand to hold
heart made in china, worth it's weight in gold
never knew a happiness that can't be bought or sold
we face the east each morning as the day unfolds.

i stand at the border
she waits by the door
we smile at the places
we've been before

through the veil of darkness the stars are shining bright
if it's dark before the dawn there's a full moon out all night
play a little word game if it makes you feel alright
follow your own star but keep it well in sight

spring is dressing early,we're all invited to go
summer is tuning up getting ready for the show
fall will be dressing in every colour we know
winter will tuck us in under her sheets of snow

she arrived in the morning
sunflakes on the ground
she'll be gone by evening
milkyway bound
