From yesterday afternoon on things got kinda weird around here...Rich came home around two and was gimping around. I asked him what happened and he told me he'd stepped on a rusty nail at work.

It went right through his sneaker and up through the muscle in between his second and third toe...deep enough to cause bruising on the top of his foot. Yuk.

I could'nt get over the amount of force and commitment to a movement it would require me to do something like that.

At first I did'nt think too much of it because who would kick a rusty nail in sneakers so hard? Rich could'nt be that oblivious...hehee I am so critical. I was teasing him and asking if he could please die a little quieter. Then that night the foot started swelling up and getting warmer.

It gave me flash backs to when I had stepped on a rusty nail playing barefoot on the pallets with my friends behind the dumpster when we lived in these apartments out in Texas...

My parents never took us to doctors so we just sat it out and by that night my foot was infected too. I remember the fever growing and the redness began radiating out from the wound.

What a horrible night of waiting for it to reach my heart and kill me.

The next morning I was delerious and in a weird state of mind, everything was so bright and shiney. My mom drove me to the ministers house and some deacons also met there and all made a circle around me and put their huge man hands on my head along with some sacred oil and they prayed.

I was very tired and I slept and slept after that.

When I woke up it was all over though.


I was very concerned last night when Rich went to sleep, I don't know any one around here who I believe could perform that kind of healing. We'd just have to take him to the doctors.

So I just prayed.

Rich fell asleep twitching and jerking thinking he had tetnus, lol.

Dude it was sooo weird. I woke up last night to the smell of cigarette smoke. It was very distinct, enought to wake me. The house was dark and still and I remember being very startled, and hoping that it had just been Rich up pacing and having a smoke, with enough time in between for him to crawl back into bed....it did'nt smell like house fire, or grow in intensity so I hoped it was'nt foolish to fall back asleep, because I have not been getting much lately. Sleep that is.

This morning Rich said his foot was feeling so much better and he could move his toes so he did'nt have nerve damage.

I asked him if he'd gotten up for a smoke last night and he said no, he'd slept right through.

So wtf was that you know?
I'm glad we don't have to go to the doctors though. It costs an arm and a leg everytime...

ok ya may think i am off the wall for this one ,, but does rich have a relative that past n smoked and had a healing touch to them when they walked the earth ,,, tis just what jumped at me when i read it ...

You know when I was in the bathroom upside down toweling off my hair and thinking about the smoke smell my grandma that just died this summer came to mind, she smoked and was a nurse in the ER her whole life...not Richs relative but otherwise dead on. No pun intended. Think she counts?

Geez ...you got to watch out for that there praying ...ya put energy out there praying to spirit, and before you know it a spirit answers ...weird ain't it.
I mean like O wow could it be holy sheeeit .....the phenomenology of existence is ever present...just as we become more fine attuned and pay attention the more it comes through, and sometimes it's hard not to pay attention without the wows gee wilikers butpraying more and walking over there talkin a bit more to them ever so far distant and right here gones before us and the wonderful teachers all...yup it's all present..waves to dili and pshaw folks, have a good one.

I always pray and talked and get miraculous results for my self so that is not the weird part, I've never smelled them before, things just got better and that was that.

It's weird knowing they can be so close...and I like 'wows' and 'gee wilakers'. It is neat! Stuff I have only wondered about is coming through to be experienced. Why can they be smelled?

i dunno how to explain it hsb lol i can only tell you thati get alot of smells associated with alot of things, that is called clairessience to me it is always a reminder of those that are around,,, although it isnt hte only time it happens with me... i would call it more of being the medium rather than channeling elayne to me channelins is done when we initiate the contact n channel them in,,, this to me is more like you are just the medium tween the two planes

yes hsb,, could be her,,, i thought i had put either you or rich but i think me brain was froze yet.......

I'll have to read more about clairessence, it's never really hooked me in before...but this got me hook line and sinker. I love that feeling when you realise things are not as solid you think they are, lol. Even though I know in my mind they are not...actually witnessing it is just, Ooooo.

It could be someone from Rich's side that we don't know about having a healing touch. He was close to his grandpa and he died a long time ago and was an avid smoker. Rich really dug him and said he was a very kind soul.

How are you supposed to know who it is? Does it matter? Obviously it does'nt matter what I know...but for the future I wonder what difference if any it would make to know who it was.

...and yeah Elayne I really enjoyed my grandma, she was very cool. Like a tiney little bird but she'd curse and eat buffalo wings and drink beer with the rest of us:) She'd bum smokes because uncle Dale wanted her to quit and would'nt buy her any...

When do you usually become aware of their essences dilli?yes we had a heavy frostlast night, got down to 24.. the last week or so we have had 3 light frosts, but this one got most things pretty good,,, ended the bean harvest thats for sure ...

this may seem silly but when i see, hear, feel, smell something and cant tell who it is i ask for other hints,,, n they generally come to me,,, in some way shape or form ,,, if nothing then i would perhaps be thinking a guide showing his or herself,, and then too as i notice or see hear smell things i ask them to introduce themself in a sense and they generally over time reveal themselves too ...

i truly dunno what triggers the essences i get,, i have to assume often it is location,,, and there are spirits connected to whereever i am,,, it often does me no good at all ,,, ya know when ya smell someone baking choc chip cookies n you know it aint you ,,,, .. i often get flowery type essences and a vision of who they are from or for,,, when i smell lilacs very heavily,,, someone i know is passing over . over time it is realizing really what associates itself with certain things,,, i think most of us have clairessience as well as intuition etc,,, but we dont stop n think about why we smell them at a particular time ,, when i first started getting the smellerific stuff i actually would write it down so reference and after doing so notice a pattern of sorts

scatter brained today ,,, looking at your sig pic am assuming you do some sort of chakra work,,, may be opening up a lil bit more on the path you are taking and if thats the case ,,, be prepared for what you may experience here in near future,,,, it may just open up a whole new in a sense world to you... n you may not really even take notice until you are shaking yer head n going wtf is goin on lol.. n then will slowly piece itself together :)

That does'nt sound silly at all, that is how I work through my dreams, it could take days or years but eventually it comes if I am still paying attention. I guess it's the same kinda thing but different. Thanks for not making fun of me. It crossed my mind about the smelling smells being linked to spirits but I just never put it together because it's just not something I know alot about, but when you reinforced it something clicked. I pay attention to the clicks, cause they always mean something. I am glad you came in here today. Thank you.

yes i do acknowledge them,, often times they do not leave until i do say a howdy do n what ya want lol,,,, here on the farm we have lots of spirits,, old indian grounds,,, and i love them ,and to me feels like they are a protection for me and mine in alot of ways,,,, i seem more often to be in that world than the human one alot of times but then i am here day in and day out n spend more time near and around them than i do humans in the flesh...

i would never make fun of anyone over spirituality n spirit world, it is a world or plane that i think has a whole lot more meaning than society allows,,, to me it explains a lot of the unexplained in my life.. perhaps that is just an easy way out instead of dealing with reality , but for me it is a reality,,, there is just too much i cant explain in real world that if i look at it thru my spirituality makes a lot more sense and it fits nicely with my beliefs,,,
I aint a pro on any of the stuff, it aint something i study to learn and i dont give the best or fanciest descriptions when i try to explain,, but i can answer alot iffin ya have any questions so feel free to ask , if i cant answer i have lots of friends that are considered gurus in a sense and can get me an explanation

Oh, cool Marie. Thank you for reading, I am glad you likie. I can't wait to share with Rich the latest development. He's gonna love it, lol, he's always watching the shows on tv where they are ghost hunting and was totaly perplexed when I asked him if he was smoking last night.

I was reading in Carlos Castenedas books that the learning of these kinda ways do not have to be done with lots of strenuous studies or anything fancy, that it just accumulates as you give ordinary attention and as your experiences allow. The truth of it kinda unfolds like a vibrant sunrise into a new day:)

To me the simple descriptions of day to day run ins with the 'extra' ordinary (which, I do realise is only that way because society has made it 'extra') have more weight than anything else. They seem more real and less needy than the people that take it in their mind to preach about it and identify with the contact in a self defining kinda way, like the ones that go on Montel talking about what they 'do'. The people with real connections seem to be kinda quiet about it and let the experiences come to them.

I can't listen to the other kind.
It is super comforting to know you are here though Dilli and if I think of any more questions, or if you think of anything you'd like to add, please do. I love getting to see new facets of people as well, I never would have thought you had that kinda stuff going on. There is alot I don't think though :tongue:

It's all sinking in now and the ripple has been spreading out as the day has progressed. I was driving down the coastal highway out by the beach and started thinking about my involvement with the Wellness center here and how it appears that I am being drawn into aromatherapy (I get a free certification course in Feb...whoda thunk?) and how the center has dredged up so much while working with the smells of the oils and how this seems to fit just seamlessly with my inital reaction of suprise at finding I was so into the smells...and as I thought that I looked over and there were three of the largest crows I have ever seen in my life sitting on the roofline of the house I was passing one was turned and looking my way, and a bell rung inside me. Something is afoot and the Universe agrees:) it is amazing how much I forget though, but it all seems to come around and makes it's presence known when it's time.

It makes me smile:) it seems like everything has been flowing so smoothly. Yesterday I got out a fortune cookie left over from Jessies birthday party and kinda jokingly but also kinda hopefully I wished that it would be a very special one because all the other ones were so dumb and blah, 'like you are careful and systematic in your bussiness arrangements' but I waited a bit and then tore into it and it said, 'your dearest dream is coming true' and the lucky number on the back was 3. It makes my eyes tear up because my dearest dream was to see my dad *sniff* hehee. Life's a trip man.

Can the spirit of our ancestors leave physical momentos?

Last night as I was going to bed I was smoothing out the covers and getting ready to climb in, and I saw my nose ring that i'd lost three days before. I was so elated because I'd been desiring this nose ring since the begining of the summer and about two weeks ago it went on sale and I had money so I made it mine...and then three days ago woke up to find it missing. I was so deflated and searched everywhere. Taking all the covers off and shaking them out, pouring over the floor around the bed with a flashlight and thenjust resigned myself to the energy of the day. I was very sad and my nose was infected because of the old nosering and in alot of pain. It sucked.

After the visit though the nose ring appeared, right on my side of the bed as I was climbing in. Hehee, I was so suprised and that sure felt good:) because I thought I would never see it again.

Last night in a dream I was nekkid and getting ready to go into this police station and there were alot of people so I said i was just gonna go get my clothes, I really did'nt want to go in there anyway, so I went back grabbed my clothes and then saw my sailboat out in the impound lot with a wheel chair and some other junk piled on it, so I went to go to the boat and encountered this open storage shed that was full of junk and I started busting my way through it all and it just bogged me down with more and more junk...so I stopped and decided to go back and see if I could find the field i had seen before I decided to use the short cut and i looked at my hand as was turning around in the narrow wedge of space between a wall and a taken apart babycrib/mattress ect. and my favorite aquamarine ring had the stone missing...it gave me that same feeling of loss, and damned if I am wearing any more jewlery until this 'loosing stuff' energy has passed.

I went over and talked to my mom today and we got around to talking about the smoke thing, and she said it is so weird that I mentioned that because hse's been smelling cigarette smoke too at odd times and wondering where it was coming from since no one smokes over there.

i personally believe that any spirit can leave mementos,, whether it be in the physical or otherwise... i also think on occassion they move things on me from places i know i put them... i know i am not that scattered at times and also know i am not clever enough to find the lost items after having ripped thru the house or whatever it is... but like i said,,, i really live in there world,,, almost as though i am invading there space perhaps at times so i really try n work with them here,,, most the time its all well and good but when i skroo up i am let known in some way shape or form lol...

i used to have an ornament that was my mothers and her favorite,, it had no batteries in it because it was making me batty but this thing would play its 12 days of xmas song no matter where it was hidden or stored, , batteries or no .. it wasnt an all the time things but now when i look back at it,, was always when i needed some sorta faith in a higher something or other,,,

I am glad Dilli was present and said what she said because it has replaced the odd disjointed feeling smelling smoke but knowing Rich was'nt smoking gave me with a comfort of feeling my grandma around. I had doubts it was her until mom said she'd been smelling it too.

Genuine suprises like this are such a delicious treat for me:) I hope it never becomes mundane.

That made me laugh dilli, with the loosing things, I have often wondered where my stuff goes too and think right along the lines of what you shared about not being clever enough to find the stuff when I do.

Just out of curiosity, how does a person screwup enough to be noticed by spirit?

Oh is'nt that the Truth, especially how the energy is now it seems. Before there used to be a little lag time. Ever since the 'being mean to the dog' day back in Sept. I have been on my best behavior, lol.

I get the biggest kick out of it too. He'll catch on sooner or later too cause I just laugh at him and tell him it was because he was a jerk or something :tongue: it spooks him because of the timing ;) and I make sure to use language he's used with me that's slipped into his subconcious that I know tugs at issues for him. If I can be a consistent clear mirror it will all work out...or it won't, lol. Does'nt really matter does it? Things are what they are.

His foot is all better now:)

...and no worries dilli, I was just wondering if there was something that stood out. I love hearing others accounts, even though this is an individual kinda thing.
