Here are some websites, books and magazines that i use when in need of some help. Feel free to add anything you use for reference purposes or any new ones that you may run across during the course of the class. They are in no particular order and in no way am i endorsing any of them. I just find them useful

www.backwoodshome.com- (http://www.backwoodshome.com-) some magazine articles, online forums and chat
www.countrysidemag.com (http://www.countrysidemag.com) -only some articles from magazine are available on line
www.ecofriendly.com (http://www.ecofriendly.com) - this site gives different ideas on raising animals in an eco friendly way
www.homesteadingtoday.com (http://www.homesteadingtoday.com) , pretty decent sight on homesteading in general , several forums to choose from
www.sugarmountainhome.com (http://www.sugarmountainhome.com) -this is a family run site, with neat things on all sorts of homesteading thing
Back to Basics- this is a readers digest book, has been very useful in homesteading, covers gardens, layouts of homestead, raising animals etc,,, they reprint this every few years and update it.
Barnyard in your backyard is a good all round beginners publication on raising a variety of animals
mrssurvival.com (http://www.mrssurvival.com/) is a site for survivalists/ homesteaders etc. is a very laid back forum and chat site that although its about survival it isnot too wingnutty and is a pretty sweet place
survivalist discussion boards (http://www.survivalistboards.com/) is another forum/ message/ chat site. This place has most anything from camping / hunting , gardening, farming, off grid living , politics, economy, food hoarding etc.. It does have bunches on guns and ammo etc as well . From what i have seen the only non topic there is abortion rights . They have alot of references and user made videos on site as well .
