we had no money, and i still get bother for being Russian... its just different I guess... I can never feel at home anywhere becasue people either think of me as 'The Russian Girl' or as the 'British girl" (when i'm in Russia) but those two places... both of hich were my home... I don't feel at home in anymore.. :(

Are you sure? Despite all the right-wing propaganda we have to put up with, we have an extremely successful multicultural society, and we have a liberal tradition of welcoming outsiders. Britain is the place many migrants choose to come and live because of this.
And we are a nation of immigrants anyway - our language and culture is a glorious mishmash of different elements from all around northern Europe. In the past fifty or so years, we've integrated Indian and Pakistani culture, the culture of migrants from the West-Indies ... at the moment we're in the process of assimilating Muslim / arabic culture. I for one welcome Eastern Europeans finding a welcome home in Britain over the next few years given the recent expansion of Europe! Britain is not static or exclusive. That's a false stereotype.
if it's so exclusive and stuff...can i sell my membership?

Why does everyone hate Tony Blair? What's he supposed to have done wrong? Save the Iraqi people from a brutal reign of terror that saw millions tortured and executed? How was that wrong? Tony Blair has saved countless lives. If you think laws are more important than lives then you're an idiot. People are what matters, and he did the right thing, he did what had to be done, regardless of how unpopular it made him. To me, he's a hero.

Yeah, that's all Tony Blair's fault! And a few rogue soldiers torturing a few prisoners is much worse than an evil man in power who routinely tortured and killed large numbers of people.

We would be naive to think the US "liberated Iraq" out of an humanitarian motivation... if that had been the case why did they (and the UK) back Saddam for so long?

Because thats all fluff to sell it to the people. Its all about strategy. It was important to have iraq as our "friend" during the cold war..once the cold war ended he ceased to be of any importance..especially when he attacked kuwait and had control of tremendous amounts of oil. We've come toa period where we cant ignore the middle east anymore.... People ask why dont we rescue all the people in africa who suffer under dictators...the answer is simple, there is no strategic value to it.

Being British means that we are very fortunate to have opportunities that people in other parts of the World will never have ... if that makes us exclusive then we have a responsibility to appreciate what we have here. It is not perfect here and there is much that could improve, but we are not suffering like so many other peoples are.
To be part of the human race is a blessing which comes with great responsibility. No matter what nationality.
