View Full Version : How rude!

I have noticed quite a few people on the hip forums recently that can only be described as having bad manners (and I'm not talking about my friends on here, so don't anyone get paranoid!) I'm sure theres always been rude people on here but I've only noticed it recently.
So I've decided a plain 'thats just rude' response works best.
Not saying I'm upset or offended, just point out they have bad manners, I've often felt a bit inadaquate in the past, thinking I wish I had said something, why didn't I think of something, and now I think 'thats just rude' shows that I don't accept whats being said, but actually doesn't require too much energy spent on a person that probably doesn't really care less what my thoughts are.
I'm thanking Tara for this, who said to me 'thats just rude' when I was staying with her, about a comment I made (not about her) and I really admired your directness!
another form of directness I like is when people try to drag me into a bitchy conversation about someone else when I say 'its not up to me to judge' it not only keeps me out of it, it says load and clearly that I think they're being judgemental.
So I'm going to make an early new years resolation, heres to being even more direct, than I am already!

i am rather rude at times though
and there are alot of times where i am rude just to get people shocked so they do respond with "well that's just rude"
sometimes being straight forward like that validates the rude poster
*my 2 cents*

its about me knowing I have said something, first and foremost.
however Jessica a lot of people can be hurt and offended by rudeness, so if this is not your intention I would avoid, trying to shock people.
I also think that being rude to people is a great way of getting people going of you quickly

i do not want to offend people, i just like shocking
but i think the main reason i do it, is because alot of people get really uptight....in some way i want to try and get them to loosen up...
i am glad that you are going to stand up and say something sam, it's a good thing to do :)

I think you should rethink being rude to people, if you don't want to cause upset.
I say this to you as a friend

sometimes i have the mentality of a 5 year old. i've seen it. it's the closest comparison. but i don't set out to hurt anyone, unless they strike first. then i'm RIGHT DOWN THERE IN THE MUD WITH THEM. i can't help it. it's my nature. but you ever have someone jump your ass or hurt your feelings, you just ring me up and i'll fuck them up for you. i like it.

It's funny how any given thread in here can degenerate into silliness without warning.

Hoo boy, do I need you around right now, both of my boys have managed to effectively stomped on my feelings this week. I'm battling tears constantly, the big ole butts! And after all these years! You'd think I'd have developed tougher skin.

I dont understand why people have to turn there nose up at people.
Who are we to say were better than anybody. I'm so sick of money being the first thing people use to define who a person is.
So heres what i say
You can never know anyone as well as yourself, and truely you spend your whole life trying to finde yourself. So to circle back around here...
How do you know anyone???????

I have no intention of passing the buck all day. I am just pointing out a fact.
I am who I am, and I don't accept people being rude or nasty to me.

perhaps your stance was a bit too aggressive for your first foray into the crowd.
